After attending a family wedding east of Wroclaw we decided we'd like to experience one of Poland's mountain regions and were advised by our daughter-in-law to try Karpacz. We chose the Hotel Relaks on the basis of price and other reviews and were not disappointed. It's a nicely presented hotel and very clean and comfortable. It's located about a ten minute walk from the centre of the lower village. The breakfasts were more than adequate and regularly re-stocked. We had free access to the spa bath (by appointment) and steam and spa facilities - treatments were an extra. The reception staff were very helpful and, despite restricted english, enhanced our stay considerably, making sure we were directed to particular attractions and writing down for us, in Polish, requests for tickets and destinations. All in all, a very happy few days.
A very nice hotel with free use of the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steamroom. While swimming you can look out at the snow covered surrounding outside - very lovely. A lady at check in put in a folding bed for our young son at no charge which not many hotels in Europe would do. Even if you don't ski, this hotel is a nice place to relax in this winter wonderland. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
The Alpejski is a chalet style hotel with real character, a lovely bar, and a clean and relaxing pool/spa area. The views over the mountains and gardens are beautiful. This is a great alternative for a Polish Mountain experience compared to some of the newer modern hotels that have been recently been built. The staff were very helpful and the restaurant offers top quality food. Due to the failings of Expedia, the only complaint is that despite me having an Expedia confirmation voucher, the reservation was not in the system. The staff however resolved this with the minimum of fuss.

Beautiful 18th century architecture opposite a palace. Quaint spa town in this forested area on the western side of Poland, near the mountains bordering Germany. Delightful regional food and gracious staff.

Great food, comfortable rooms, amazing views. We spent there just one night but felt like in 18th century palace. A couple of interesting places around (mainly palaces, ruins etc.), ask at the reception desk.

"Good and inexpensieve hotel in the middle of nowhere"
Good overall, we booked it for NY with just amazing value. Was packed with elderly people, must be some sort of holiday destination for them. 20 km to ski resort, however better one on the Czech side - Harrachov. Sauna is ok, I woudn't go to pool though, some guest are completely nuts - one man was bathing his little baby IN DIAPERS, that took those off and SQUEEZED water back into pool... Great breakfast, although was not included into price. Free wifi. Free parking. Recommended.
