Nice hotel. Quiet location. Just a bit expensivE

Posted 10-Feb-2015
Pros: Nice quite location
Cons: Outside decor.
Location: Burnham Beeches for country walks. Windsor is about a half hour drive away. Not much else really.
Nice hotel. Set in the outskirts of Burnham Beeches so its very quiet. From the outside the hotel needs a lick of paint as it looks a bit dated / tatty. Reception was friendly. As its a listed building there is no lift so it was the stairs for us which wasnt a problem. The room itself was pleasant and clean if a little small. Bathroom was clean with a walk in shower etc. Bed was comfortable. I would say however that for the price it really wasnt worth it. Ive stayed in other cheap brand hotels and had a much bigger room for half the price so this was very disappointing. Oh and the late night room service had just a limited range of sandwiches - not good when you have been out partying until late and need something to soak up the beer..!!

Wedding guest

Posted 26-Nov-2014
The room was comfortable and clean. In the morning it was lovely that they had open a room for all of the wedding guest that stayed there, this was a lovely added touch. Wished I had taken my swimsuit so was not able to use leisure centre if in that area would stay there again

Relaxed country hotel in peaceful location

Posted 16-Nov-2014
This was my first stay for about 5 years, and it was nice to see the hotel looking refreshed. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Bedroom was very comfortable with decent size TVS and good and free wifi. Breakfast was self service and as a result not quite piping hot. Maybe better heaters would help. All in all a very relaxed experience nice grounds and good leisure facilities too

Very Hot!

Posted 31-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel itself was nice, and set in lovely grounds, but the room was extremely warm with no ac. The gym was even hotter, being a small room with basic equipment, at the side of the swimming pool, which was like exercising in a sauna.

beautiful hotel but a shame about the gym

Posted 10-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel is beautiful as your drive up to it. Reception was very helpful and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. I chose the hotel in the area due to wanting a gym while away from home. This isn't really a gym though! 3 cardio machines, 1 pull down and a set of weights in a tiny poorly air conditioned room wasn't what I felt the pictures on line showed me.
