"Wonderful hotel close to restaurants and ferries"
The hotel is in a great position close to all restaurants and shops. In particular, access to ferry terminal was nearby. Staff were great and very friendly - nothing too much trouble for them. Food also very good, if a little pricey.
The location and look of the hotel is excellent. Looks lovely from the outside and the rooms were pretty clean. The hotel did have an awful smell in the corridors. I'm assuming this was something to do with the pool being out of order. The plus side is we got free passes everyday to Aquiria - a nearby spa which also had the awful smell in places but overall, very good.
The only real problem was the reception staff. They were extremely slow and a bit rude. If you ever need anything from them (daily passes to Aquiria) they tend to walk past you and ignore you
Hotel Olivi has everything you need for a relaxing break. Clean comfortable rooms, spacious public areas, good food and a wonderful pool area. Breakfast and dinner may be taken in the dining room although you may prefer the outdoor terrace. Lunch and snacks can be had from the poolside cafe. Afternoon tea, coffee and pastries are offered free at 17:00 each day at the pool.
The staff are all friendly and efficient - nothing is too much trouble.
We took a 4 day break on the way back from the Adriatic on a BB/evening meal basis in early July 2015 and felt it was very good value for money. Parking is included in the price.
We've stayed at Olivi 3 times now and would have no hesitation in doing so again.

Great location, but the air conditioning was not working only blowing area. The TV was very poor and not clear was told by staff that the aerial must of moved.
The food was good and the pool area was good.
We stayed here for a week in June and had an amazing time. The hotel area is relaxed and quiet and not at all touristy. There are nice restaurants and a supermarket a short walk away. The hotel is situated roughly half an hour away from the old town in Sirmione by foot and 15 mins drive. There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel that runs every hour during the summer going to and from the old town. They sell bus tickets in the hotel and in tabaconists.
The staff are all extremely helpful and very knowledgeable especially Manuela and Valentina on reception. They even sorted out some ice when I hurt my ankle on a day trip to Verona.
Our room was a classic double on the ground floor overlooking the decent sized pool. It was a reasonable sized room with plenty of storage room and 2 single matresses on a biggish base (not sure what size it was but we had enough room between us). The mattress was a little hard for my taste but it wasnt too bad. We a little patio space outside with a table and chairs to sit out and feed the very tame sparrows.
The pool was nice and refreshing in the Italian summer heat and there was lots of free sun loungers.
Breakfast was tasty and had a large variety of bread, meats and fruit etc. The cook made fresh crepes on Sunday as well. We did have the lazy lunch option on one day and had beef burger and chips which was also very tasty. We didn't have any evening meals in the hotel but the choice looked good. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had stayed for 2 nights 27/02/15 with 2 pre teenage kids. We had the junior suite which comprised of a King size bed with a balcony with lake view.
The other room had a sofa bed and a single bed. both rooms had a television with sky in the main bedroom.
The bathroom room was amazing. No one wanted to come out of the shower, and the provide you with slippers.
Good amount of storage with a fully stock mini fridge.
We used the swimming pool of their sister hotel about 5 minutes walk away. which was very nice. We also took the ferry to Garda for lunch and a bit of a walk round.
Unfortunately we didn`t have enough time to do more.

Spectacular Sirmione occupies a narrow spit projecting into Lake Garda, its entrance guarded by a picture-book 13th-century moated castle. Its immaculately-tended little pedestrianised town is patronised by a wealthy clientele, many of whom come for the spa and thermal baths complex. At the end of the peninsula visitors to the impressive Grotte di Catullo, the largest Roman villa remains in northern Europe, enjoy panoramic lake views.
