Welcome to Holiday Inn Mauritius Airport Hotel. Conveniently located 700 meters from the SSR International Airport (SSRI) …More
Outstanding hospitality and a very reasonable price, that is what 3D's offers. We stayed there at the beginning and end of our trip because it is so close to the airport. We realized on our first stay that these people would go out of their way to help you in any way possible, pick you up from the airport or drive you to wherever you need to go. The hotel is owned by a father and two sons. One of the sons spent 3 days driving us all over the island. He knew everywhere to go and took us to places that would have been extremely difficult to find on our own. It was great fun! The rooms were pretty and comfortable. We were surprised when a big breakfast was delivered to our room in the morning! If we can go back to Mauritius again we are just going to stay there the entire time.
Great for nature lovers and if you want to have a real Mauritian experience.
They have a pretty convenient early check-in. We were picked-up at 7am and they offered us breakfast in that moment. Also they have a late check-out, so we could enjoy our last dinner without hurry. The owners are charming and treated us like family, helping us in everything we needed to make our stay more pleasant. Also the rest of the staff is very friendly and helpful. We chose the half-board plan and worth it. Ask for Ricardo`s cocktail, and maybe you`re lucky to try his speciality: "oeufs rôties". Virginie prepares delicious omelettes.
My parents had a nice experience too. We were neighbours. The rooms are so well isolated, you don`t hear a noise inside.
There is a big supermarket not very far away, where you can buy shampoo, etc. And the most important: the best beach (Blue Bay). Ask for COCO to do the glass bottom boat; very nice guy.
Even if you`re planning to go these days -while the spa isn´t prepared yet-, you can enjoy your own mini pool with running water at one of the prestige rooms. I loved the detail of the beach towels and you have a couple of comfortable deck chairs.
Nicolas, special thanks to you. Cliff, you`re awesome. Joelle and the girls, so sympa you all... Can`t wait to go back!
P.S. You don`t need a safe box; Mauritians are good karma people.
Don`t worry about the ants. And even the dog is friendly!
The staff at ONS are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is what you would expect from a budget hotel. The building is only 3 years old, so everything still looks new. They offered us transfers to Blue Bay and a tour/transfer to our next hotel for a reasonable price. I highly recommend if you are looking for a budget option in Mahebourg.
This was our honeymoon trip, and it was just about perfect. The staff are really attentive, and it seemed like every one of them was taking personal responsibility for making sure we were looked after. We arrived on an early flight, but a room was made available within an hour. The transfer went smoothly, and the rep was very helpful. We got a 'lagoon view' room, that still had a great view of the sea, which was turned down three times a day. The food was good and plentiful, although the veggie options were a bit limited, and the entertainments were varied and high quality. Drinks and food prices are at hotel levels and in Euros, so if you're half-board you might want to get a taxi to the local supermarket for supplies. The Connections excursions were well organised, and the guides friendly and enthusiastic. For our last week, we booked a taxi from the stand outside the hotel to see the island. Don't leave Ile aux Cerfs too late - you'll probably want to get back! Expect to haggle when shopping but we didn't find the prices for clothes to be any cheaper than the UK though. If you're looking for souvenirs, look in Mahebourg as they're significantly cheaper than the shops elsewhere. When we went over it was Rs50 = 1 pound so if you want an easy way to convert without using a calculator, multiply the Rupee figure by 2 and knock off the last two digits, so Rs1000 = 1000x2 = 2000 = 20.00 or so. Overall, this was a great holiday in a good location, and we'd definitely go back.
