“suitable place to stay”
large hotel - didnt eat there. pool not suitable for diving! shuts the pool bar outdoors quite early easy access to sghopping across the bridge or through the back of the hotel
“Service, location and hotel are exceptional”
From the moment we arrived the staff could not have been any more accommodating - fantastic place and can't wait to go back
“Excellent hotel with wonderful views”
I had booked three nights at the Mandarin Oriental in Singapore for a relaxing stopover after working in Australia. The hotel was excellent in all respects, with a well-equipped bedroom and superb facilities. On arrival, the receptionist suggested that I paid a small supplement to upgrade to the Oriental Club level, and this was certainly good value, with free internet access, complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in the Oriental Club Lounge. What I particularly appreciated was the 6PM checkout time, as I had a late evening flight to the UK. Even after officially checking out, I was able to make use of the Club Lounge facilities until I needed to go out to the airport. Of the hotel restaurants, I sampled the Cherry Garden, a Cantonese restaurant, and had a delicious and immaculately served meal there. As a single traveller, I particularly appreciated the good selection of wines by the glass. Perhaps the highlight was the view from my room over Marina Bay to the Central Business District - splendid by both night and day. My only niggle is that the hotel is quite a complicated walk from the nearest MRT station, but there was a handy bus stop opposite the hotel with frequent buses to all the main tourist destinations.
“Great service - everyone very polite & personable”
My wife & I travel a lot around the world. A comfortable hotel in a great location where our needs are met - even anticipated - is important to us. We are pleased to share that this hotel exceeded our expectations and we would would be very happy to spent more time there on our next visit to Singapore. Principal among our impressions was that the staff have been highly trained - kudos to the managment for such a high quality team.
“Mandarin Oriental anywhere has to be the best based on this experience.”
The hotel was beautiful, service and food at restaurants first class. Rooms lovely, amenities over the top. Everyone remembered my name after one meeting, cannot say enough positive things about this hotel. I can't wait to stay in a Mandarin Hotel in another part of the world.
“IF you want personal service- the hotel is Mandarin Oriental”
The Mandarin always treats you like it is your own hotel. By mistake put me in a smoking room but fixed it immediately. I walked into the restaurant for lunch and they called me by name and asked if I wanted the table where I sat at for breakfast. They remember who you are and remember your preferences. That is service that is hard to beat especially when you are traveling alone!!
“Great service, definitely try Mortons Steak House. Already booked my return!!”
Highly recommend staying at this hotel and be sure to get the room with a view of the Harbour. Excellent staff, very polite and courteous. Great steak house on the 3rd floor called Mortons. Only wish that internet was free!!
“Superb Hotel”
Superb hotel in Singapore. Efficient polite staff. Fantastic steak house "Mortons", excellent spa, very efficient business centre, enormous breakfast buffet with a huge selection. We always stay here when in transit in Singapore.

“Fantastic Spa, excellent room service and a lovely pool”
I regularly travel to Singapore and this was my first stay here. The Mandarin Oriental in Singapore is a lovely hotel, with all the usual luxuries one expects from this hotel chain. For me 3 things stood out: - The hotel has a fantastic Day Spa with professional therapists. I had several massages during my visit and all the therapists were excellent! - The pool at the hotel is lovely, although be early to nab a good spot. - The room service menu is excellent and food really good. I know Singapore is a foodie's dream, but sometimes after a long day of work room service is all one wants. The Mandarin Oriental really delivers, with an extensive menu and lots of options. Great food, including some good local selections. The hotel is in an ideal location for business, with a mall close by. It is a cab ride form the Orchard road shopping strip.
