“Liking it more than before”

I've stayed here quite a few times, but every time it didn't impress me much and I started staying elsewhere. This time was different. They seem to have sorted out many issues. The rooms are now clean, and quiet. The location can't get any better. This is probably the very best located hotel in Singapore. Housekeeping needs to be fired. I had to call them at least 5 times in 5 days to get various things. They'd always forget one thing or another. The reception is a bit impersonal, as is the entrance. it would help if they were warmer. It's all too clinical. All said. It works. Stay there. I had a non-smoking room. Main Tower. 13th Floor.

“Great location”

Great location for shopping and access to the MRT in Singapore. Hotel room was nice but the walls were pretty thin so we could hear the people next door even when they were talking normally. Overall a good value for the location.

“Great location, good size room”

Room is quite large and spacious - bed was firm so would have prefered a softer bed. Woke up one morning with a bite mark on my eye so I believe there are some bed bugs or mites. Check out was extended to 3pm so was appreciative that the hotel was able to accomodate our late flight at no charge. Great location just on Orchard Road next to Takashimya shopping centre.

“Sweet Stay”

Although short, I enjoyed my stay at the Mandarin Orchard. The service was impeccable and the location was pretty close to most of my meetings. The rooms were very comfortable and tasteful.

“at the heart of the shopping strip”

recently renovated hotel sitting atop 4 levels of boutique shops. Didn't have my requested room configuration available upon arrival, but upgraded the next day. Wifi rates pretty expensive, but free connection available in the shopping area, with decent seating areas. 3 min walk to MRT station

Area recommendations

Check out Marina Bay Sands complex, but I wouldn't stay there - it's a fair hike (10-15 min) from the closest MRT station, and therefore pretty inconvenient.

“Good Singapore hotel in the middle of Orchard Road”

Since I last stayed at this hotel 5 years ago a lot of work has been done to the lower floors with new shopping facilities and reception now up on Level 5. Stayed in the Orchard Wing in one of the older rooms, last time I stayed in one of the newer rooms. The newer style rooms are much nicer than the older ones which are a little tired and dated now, though still comfortable and good size. Service was generally of good quality though housekeeping was eratic, failing to provide hand towels one of the days and not refilling or replacing coffee/sugar/tea or shampoo / shower gel during our stay. Great location on Orchard Road if you are in Singapore for a few days for shops, though a good 5 min walk to the nearest MRT station.

“Raya visit to SG”

normally i have no complains for Mandarin Orchard...but for this stay, the hotel booked us one of the rooms from their ol wing...me and wife were horific for the horrendous ID design of the room :(
