Hotel staff and cleanliness very good. Buffet breakfast very good we did not have to queue even hotel was very busy as the motor racing was on. We were apprehensive about the hotel after reading some of the previous reviews, this was unfounded. We would be quite happy to stay there again.
"Great Hotel with excellent views over the bay area"
The hotel was the best hotel we have visited by far. The friendly staff when you first arrive make you fell welcome and relaxed. The check in staff went out of their way to see we received the best available room and we were made comfortable while the room was serviced. The room we were assigned was very clean and tidy with every thing you would need in the room, including dressing gown and slippers. The view from the rooms on the bayside are exceptional we stayed on the 18th floor with views over the bay and ocean. We had an evening meal at the cantonese restaurant and again the food and service was first class. There were two minor things we found off putting: we arrived at the hotel at 9.30am had no sleep on the plane and could not get into our rooms until 3pm and the other one was the cost of alcohol within the hotel. A stubby of beer cost $18 and there was no wine under $100 a bottle (poor quality wine at that). Despite these two minor gripes we had an excellent stay and when we return to Singapore we will stay at this hotel again.
A fantastic hotel for our stay in Singapore. Ideally located in the shopping district but only a short journey to the GP and City Hall area. All staff could not do enough for us during our stay and we would definitely return.
We spent 2 nights and it was great. Right next to Orchard Rd and close to the MRT station. The staff was always willing to help and they had organised a cot for our baby before we arrived, they also allowed us a late check out, but even if that wasn't available they have an area where we could stay and relax until we leave to the airport, including shower facilities. If I go back to Singapore will definitely stay there again.
Brilliant warm welcome to the hotel from the Sikh doorman to the check in that walks you to your room and introduces you to the butler.
Room is old fashioned - we paid extra for a Palm Court room which is wonderful and you are woken not by traffic noise, but tropical birds.
breakfast is excellent and tea is great (though strangely no choice of tea)
