“overpriced-would never go back-low class-no stars”

This hotel looked very nice on the internet When we got to our room, it didn't even have a closet-there were 2 hooks on a wall. We had prepaid on expedia (which we always do in Singapore) Then we had a big trauma trying to change rooms- when we did, the charges were astronomical. For the price we paid, we could have stayed at a beautiful luxury hotel Worst hotel for the exhorbitant price we paid In all our travels to Singapore-this was the worst experience!

“Shoe box”

The beds were rock hard, the tv remote didn't work. The aircon was noisy. But it served it's pupose for my trip.

“OK. But over-priced.”

Hotel is clean enough, staff is fine, but really should not be priced about 40% less for what you get. Marketed as "boutique", operates as "spartan." Also, I was in the second building of the hotel which is linked by an over-pass. Quite a haul between the two buildings!

“Not the best but good enough; for the price a good deal”

I read some reviews of this hotel before visiting it for the first time. I have learned to be skeptical of the review process; some people simply have unrealistic expectations. For the price, it was a good deal. I wouldn't take my girlfriend there for a romantic getaway, but traveling by myself, it was certainly good enough. The carpets in the corridor were worn but the room itself was clean and it was kept clean by the diligent staff. No wifi in the room but a LAN cable. Again good enough. Just a few TV channels. Not traveling to watch TV so, again, good enough. The shower was fine. Not a lot of space but enough to do what was necessary. It is a good area with a local market and lots of local restaurants (I never eat in hotel restaurants) including a fantastic Hainanese curry place. As for location, it's a ten minute walk to the MRT. Frankly I found the bus service more convenient; very regular and a good price.

Area recommendations

Singapore has got some great public swimming pools. 50 meter Olympic size. And very cheap. Check them out.

“will not go back”

not happy with this hotel for service. once call conciege but no response. front clerk was rude, when call to ask the schedule of the shuttle service, clerk kept reminding me that room has schedule for shuttle service instead go ahead and assist me. I told her, if I see a schedule why would I waste my time call front desk, yet she goes on lecture me until i am upset and then she told me to come down to get the list and still refuse to tell me. In the end, I did not take the shuttle service. The hotel room service charge on a simple plate of fried noodle for $14 which can buy at a local stall for same dish, yet cheaper by far more cheaper (only pay $3 a plate) and taste nicer. You would expect executive deluxe room will be very bigger but not at all. Location is too far and inconnience to travel around, spend too much on Taxi trip; Sadly it is very disappointing. I will not recommend any one to this hotel.

1) East Coast - Katong 2) Clark Quay 3) Boat Quay 4) Marina Square. these are all the night life and place of interest are around these location, therefore you benefit and save on transportation.

“Comfortable place”

“Good for the price”

We choose to stay at this hotel as it was a 2 night stop over in europe. We didnt want to pay top dollar for a hotel. This hotel was fine, very average, the rooms are small but it was okay for a 2 night stay. Location was okay, it was a bit of a walk to the MRT station. This hotel has a free shuttle to Orchid road which was great. Very good for the price and great restaurant on site.

“Free internet!!!”

I like this hotel! they have free wifi and free parking!! they are pretty close to everything. But the room is kinda small but will be fine if you are under 180lbs.

“Something different in Singapore”

The best things about the hotel was the price and location - lots of interesting local cafes and restaurants. However, there was a nasty drain smell in the hotel and the room was fairly basic and quite small. Initially I was told they only had a room with twin beds although I had booked a queen but they managed to find me the correct room.

Traveller's tip

There is a market and lots of food stalls very close to the hotel some serving fish heads and pigs organs! There are also plenty of cafes and restaurants with a more western approach to dining. It makes a change from the more clinical Singapore most tourists experience.
