Great location. Located in Chinatown and was easy to get around. The hop on hop off bus right at the end of the street. Right near the chinatown markets. Not much to comment on the hotel. Easy to say that they don't provide room service, even for the bare essentials of toilet paper. Had to go and ask for this to be provided ourselves. We were advised that the hotel was in the middle of a renovation, therefore there was a strong smell of paint although we didn't see any workers. Paid for full breakfast, however, all we got was a cup of tea, eggs and toast. If you're simply looking for a bed to lay your head in a great location, then you can't beat the Inn at Temple Street.

I was happy with the Inn at Temple Street. The room was clean even though small but enough for 1 or 2 people. It was quiet although it was in the middle of the tourist shopping area. Reception was helpful. One improvement on the security of left luggage is needed. The hotel should issue a tag/receipt for left luggage and lock the room. I was left my bag at the Inn after check out in a room that wasn't locked right off the stair case. When I went there to pick up my bag later the lady at reception, whom I had never met before, told me just to go to the room and pick it up myself. No verification at all that I was the owner of the bag.

small old building, so old rooms, but the location makes up for everything also extremely helpful staff - unless you arrive in the afternoon, together with numerous asian travellers... if you like the local flair when travelling this is the place

Room very small, strangely shaped, and with an unneeded extra bed; NO window! AC control didn't work; TV had about 6 stations, but only 2 were watchable (barely); someone should clean the room -- including under the beds once in awhile, supposed to have free wifi, but they tried to charge me. In essence, the site description did not match reality -- or they changed it. Not a place I'd stay again.

“Excellent location but only so-so quarters”

Excellent location for food and subway (MTR). However, it was a very basic room - even for a budget hotel in Singapore. Room safe did not work. More troublesome was that the staff was not really interested in getting it fixed. Granted Singapore is a very safe place but the lack of a working room safe was still disconcerting. From a second floor room you can hear a lot of noise from the street late in the evening. It didn't keep me from sleeping but it might for some. I would consider staying there again but not for a long period of time. For a crash pad it works fine.
