“Suite 401 with outdoor bath is great!”

Great room, small but adequate, suite 401 with outdoor bath and shower is fantastic. Khiels products, Nespresso machine, funky chairs.

“Tinahh”

Staff are V friendly, breakfast is small but fresh & has everything you need. The single rooms are V small, but they again have everything required, but if you are traveling by yourself I would stretch to the cost of a double. Those people who keep going on about the small size of the rooms obviously don't do much traveling in Asia. The rooms are standard size for HK or Singapore, these are just better laid out. Great location, would stay here again without question .

You can stay anywhere in Singapore as it is so easy to get around, but Chinatown has a good vibe, and is cheap

“Close to China Town”

Very convenient for the wonderful stalls, eating places and colour of China Town and not far from Metro station. Rooms very tiny but well designed, fine for a short stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast included in price.

Area recommendations
China Town for colour and character. Waterside good, reasonably priced pubs and restaurants CBD Marina Sands - huge shopping malls Botanic Garden and National Orchid Garden. Singapore Flyer- largest observation wheel in the world - fantastic views Museums and Art Galleries Raffles Hotel - essential to have Singapore Sling in Long Bar!

“Funky little hotel in Chinatown”

Enjoyed my stay here. Rooms are small but very clean. Staff very helpful and attentive. Ideal location for Chinatown and wonderful eating all around location. Will stay here again.

“Small but nice!”

Small but clean rooms. Once your luggage is inside there is barely room to walk. Great if you are only going to sleep and take a shower. If you need your space you will want to stay somewhere else. Also, the noise at night can be a little loud but dies down around 2am. A quick solution to this is to go out and join them! Staff is excellent and extremely friendly! Very close to two MRT stations (subway). Only a five minute walk either direction. Hotel is near Chinatown and hundreds of awesome restaurants! I recommend the steam bowls!

MRT gives you access to anywhere. Walking distance to Chinatown.

“Small Rooms but Well Appointed”

First the downsides: Rooms are very small, but understandable due to the type of renovation undertaken to create this hotel. Depending on where your room is situated it can be very noisy, caused by kitchen ventilation system, with the morning start-up noise being louder than any alarm clock. The lobby adjoins the breakfast room and I wish they would not "hoover" the lobby whilst guests are eating breakfast. This happened every morning for the 5 mornings I spent there. Upsides are good breakfast buffet, great location, well decorated and everything you could possibly need packed into the small room.

Area recommendations
Chinatown is a great area to wander around. This hotel is perfectly located for good restaurants, botiques etc.
Other
Expedia offered good deals on this and many other hotels at prices below rack rates. I find the Expedia internet experience in selecting hotels as good as one can get.

“Basic Accommodation”

I was expecting a little more room but I guess this is a standard square footage of a 'Basic Accommodation' in Singapore, otherwise we were satisfied with the great service & wonderful breakfast. The location was a plus, near Chinatown,MRT,buses & enjoyed the less crowded surroundings with great architectural buildings nicely preserved. If you're in the city to tour & need a basic hotel to settle for the night & have a great breakfast in the morning - I would recommend this place.

Area recommendations
Bukit Timah or Orchard Rd. area - a little expensive but worht it.
Getting around
Buses & MRT are excellent transportation around the city, it's cheap & easy, taxis are not bad- the fares are more expensive between 12 am until 6 am. All hotels provide a helpful map of the city plus the lists of great attractions,hotel staffs are very helpful in finding your places of interest even people on the street are very helpful.

“Small but clean and very good value”

Rooms are very small but that was known when we booked. Personnel were very friendly and helpful. Location was great. Free Wi Fi is great. Free breakfast is awsome. Free water and sodas is the final nice touch.

“Great Location, Very Clean, Good Service”

Would definitely stay here again. Very reasonable for a very clean room with great location (outside of the center of China town, but close walk to 2 subway stops). Rooms and bathrooms are small but adequate. There is a Hindu temple down the block that has ceremonies around 7:30 in the morning where music is played. If you are a very light sleeper, this might not be good for you, but I thought it added a lot to the experience and I enjoyed going to the temple in the morning!

Chinatown is awesome.
