“Small room, Nice poolside area”
We were allocated a room in the tower part of the hotel. It had great views but no balcony and very small. The plumbing wasn't very good, the toilet wasn't flushing properly and the shower was weak and difficult to control the temperature. Having said that most rooms seemed to have balconies, we were just unlucky but I recommend travellers to ask for a room with a balcony as you may get a more modern/larger room. The outside pool area was very nice and we used it a lot on the last day as we had a late flight out. You can have a shower and get changed there which is very convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel but ask for a balcony so you don't get a tower room :-)
“Good, clean, unpretentious”
Unfortunately the minibar was OTT (expensive) as was room service. Had a deluxe (TOP) room, shower over bath??? No free internet, Good breakfast Friendly staff
“Nice hotel, comfortable and clean...not a convenient location.”
Nice hotel a bit older, but updated with good furnishings. Our room was spotlessly clean, although a bit small for the price. Breakfast was very good. Only downside to this hotel is the location. Not convenient to get to the nearest metro, and a bit far from downtown and other points of interest. Taxis were the only way to get around easily, or the bus if you don't mind walking a bit!
“Not Impressed”
Room is too small to stay. only a queen bed inside. internet is to expiensive.
“Would be extremely happy to stay again”
We were so impressed with the room, the staff were wonderful and the position of the hotel was excellent. We would be more than happy to stay there again.
“Satisfied”
This Hotel was a good place to stay. Staff were friendly and willing to help in anyway they could. They have a free shuttle bus that takes you to some of the shopping centres in the area and to Chinatown you can also get this bus back to the hotel. Only down fall was the smell when you get out of the lift, it was a non-smoking floor but smelt like a smoking floor.
“a good hotel at a good price”

“Nice Hotel, well priced, a pleasant aged setting.”
Overall the Copthorne King was a fine, albeit older hotel. The staff were helpful and accomodating. Room was small, bed was quite hard for me, the view so so. That said price was very good and ambience was quite pleasant. Would consider staying again.
“Good hotel in nice location”
Good facilities and service in hotel. Chinese restaurants 5 minutes walk (Outram Road) and western bars and restaurants also 5 minutes across river. SMRT station 10 minutes walk.
“Copthorne King's Singapore Review”
Nice hotel, friendly staff, although I stayed there for only one night, it was comfortable and clean.
