“Relaxing tropical paradise”

This was a perfect few days relaxation from our stay in Singapore. It was far more than we expected and every bit was enjoyable (even the frequent tropical downpours/lightning at 1pm). Go for the villas - you get a golf bugy to ride around in. The sand and sea are beutiful and the food excellent (the buffets are best for keeping children happy and varied enough for adults). If anything it was a bit quiet due to lack of guests, but that meant no queues or hassle.

“Bintan Lagoon Resort”

An impressive looking hotel. Fantastic beach with soft, fine sand. My only complaint would be that the price of food and drinks is disproportionately high compared to the cost of the room - I felt that it was a case of now you are here you have no choice but to pay. The beach and location is amazing. Don't have a massage on the beach - it was probably the worst I've ever had - there is no way the masseurs are appropriately trained. If I went to Bintan again, which I hope to do, I would probably choose a different hotel with an All Inclusive option.
