“Best in the area.”

Unless you are traveling with pets this is by far the best hotel in its price range in the area. It is new and sparkling. Parking is easy and very accessible. Will definitely return.

“Great stay close to Cal Lu”

This is a great quality value hotel convenient to the Cal Lu campus (or other Thousand Oaks needs). I always stay here when I need to be in Thousand Oaks because it is consistently clean, comfortable, and provides an excellent value.

Dining

Gino's on Thousand Oaks Blvd is the best local Italian Restaurant and a great overall experience (the proprietor is a nut).

“One nighter”

I'm not sure we would have been very excited about this hotel if we had spent more then one night here but we also didn't explore the hotels other amenities. The hotel is clean and in a nice neighborhood with easy access to restaurants. One upgrade for this hotel would be LCD tv's and on-demand movies which did not seem to be available at least in the room in which we stayed.

“Very convenient and great service”

the hotel crew was very friendly which helps a lot when travelling with babies. The room was spotless and the location was very convinient for my itinerary. Breakfast had a lot of options too.

“Would use again”

Good hotel. Easy to find as it is close to the freeway. For those of you working at/with Amgen it is about 25 minutes walk across good sidewalks to the Amgen amin building or about a 5 minute drive. For some reason I had a full adapted disabled room (I don't need it) but it had good access if you do. Rooms are equipped to a high standard for this class of hotel. All the staff I spoke to were friendly and seemed genuinely happy to help. There are quite a few reasonable restaurants with a few hundred yards.

Area recommendations

I stayed in the Newbury Park area because its close to Amgen.

“A Nice Retreat”

Clean and comfortable hotel, tucked behind a Chili's Restaurant. Parking was a lttle full when we arrived, but no hassles. Staff had us checked in and on the way to our room in less than two minutes. Very enjoyable stay.

Thousand Oaks at large -- an upscale community with excellent eateries, shops and regional mall. There are many amentities for a broad spectrum of travelers since they are drawn by Cal Lutheran Univ., AMGEN, the Arts Center, and the proximity to Los Angeles County, Studio City, Hollywood, Century City, and the like.
