Countryside haven
The owners were so gracious. Stefano took us on a tour of the private areas where they live. Maria, the receptionist, helped us in every way possible. Our room was lovely and we enjoyed the lovely views and delicious breakfasts.

A Hidden Gem
If you want a real Tuscan experience, this is the place for you. We were originally supposed to stay for 2 nights but ended up staying for 4 nights because a concert we were to attend was posponed because of weather. I was a bit skepital of all the 5 star reviews I had seen for Torraccia di Chiusi before I booked, but I would have to agree. The B and B is perched on the top of a mountain with beautiful views. Maria and Bruno were great and the staff was very friendly. Stay for dinner and you will not be dissapointed, we had the best braised veal in a red wine. I look forward to staying there again in the future.

This property is a slice of heaven. Beautiful exceptional service and five course meals with wonderful wine and persecco. Buffet breakfast each morning beautiful swimming pool. Total relaxation

Imagine a relaxing stay in the countryside with fresh, delicious Italian food, local wine, and excellent company...and, oh yeah, a refreshing pool overlooking the hills. Then you'll be at Torraccia di Chiusi. San Gimingnano and Sienna are fantastic, but be sure to plan a day or two just hanging out here and being reintroduced to life.

Countryside Pleasure
Wonderful old farm houses modernized and refurbished. Offered delicious homemade breakfasts. Had an excellent 4 night stay just outside the touristy town of San Gimignano. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Don’t miss strolling around the lake. Advise that you get precise directions as GPS is not always reliable.

Great place and good food in central Tuscany
Very nice accommodations in the center of Tuscany. The staff at the Torraccia were always friendly and helpful. The meals were excellent, including the nightly 5-course dinners that you can book separately and which make dinner plans for the day very easy. There are many trails around here to explore, and we wish we had booked more time to just wander around the area. Pro-tip: the also have filtered water and you can refill your bottles there for the day.

A wonderful stay near to San Gimignano
We had an excellent stay at Torraccia di Chiusi. You'll be staying in an older, refurbed building hundreds of years old, set on a farm. The breakfast was excellent and the opt-in 4 course dinner for $25 with apertivo right before was outstanding. Don't expect to know what you're getting as the team come up with it each day based on what they have to hand. We only had two minor issues with our room which was the air con and fridge. The fridge didn't work, but I'd suggest simply getting rid of it. The air con had a slight leak and didn't work but given we were at the end of the warmer weather didn't need it anyways, and I'm sure this will be rectified before the warmer weather returns. Run by a lovely family and team, I'd highly recommend this property.

Simply Amazing
This place is exactly what we wanted. Stunning views set in the Tuscan Hills with views of the towers of San Gimignano. We were in the Suite which was 2 rooms with the biggest and most comfortable bed you could imagine. The bathroom was lovely with a double shower. The pool was perfect for an afternoon swim to cool down as the weather was still hot and humid. The restaurant for dinner is a must for all. 5 courses - yummy ! The waitress- I can’t rememfer her name was so lovely and did a great job talking to the guests and explaining the food and wine available. Breakfast was great and a good variety. We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary so my husband organised for a platter of cheese, bread and cold meats and red wine in a private setting in the gardens. Just amazing and special memories for us. Maria is a lovely host and ensured we were settled and had everything we needed. She offered advice on where to go and what to see. She told us the history of Torraccia di Chiusi and even gave us a tour of the wine cellar. Thank you so much we loved our visit and hope to return one day.

Exceptional! Highly recommend to all!
This bed and breakfast was exceptional! I highly recommend to anyone that wants to visit Tuscany to relax, sample delicious foods and wines and enjoy incredible landscapes/views. Everyone that worked on this property was so warm and welcoming towards us. Maria (who worked in reception) was especially kind to us and I wanted to give her a special thanks for upgrading our room and giving us a discount! We absolutely loved staying here and will be back again some day! Thank you for everything!

Relax and Enjoy
Perfect location to relax. We stopped here between visited to Venice and Rome. It was the perfect balancing act for our trip. The staff are fantastic, the facilities are first rate and if there are better vista's anywhere, I would be shocked! The nightly 5 course dinners.....WOW The pool, wine and views, WOW Opportunity to stay there again, WOW If you are going to be in the area STAY HERE.

great location ,but car is a must.800 years old buildings with 20 century updates.very nice staff;good outdoor restaurant ;pool with wi-fi and trail to the lake ;amazing views off the valley and San Gimignano(15 minutes drive)

It is a awesome place with very nice people.
We are three, my wife and one kid. My first time in Italy and in Toscana. The hotel is special for couples but not so much for kids (11 years old). Depending on your family/personal setup, you can stay in the hotel living the life of the Toscana or you can just take you car and drive to know many places in an area of 50km. We spend a awesome moment there.

Tuscan Countryside
Great getaway in the coutnryside of Tuscany. We used the hotel to be close to San Gimignano and also to attend the Andrea Boccelli concert. The servie is great, very welcoming. The place is a bit of an offroad trek to get to but well worth it. The only downside was that our room didn't have airconditioning but had an amazing view.

Wonderful hotel. Owners and all people working there are pleasant and work to make everyone's stay enjoyable. Meals are as good as any restaurant. Grounds are lovely. Gorgeous pool with views of the town. Can't wait to go back in the spring.

We stayed at Torrachia de Chiusi in August 2012 and had an absolutely wonderful experience. You can see and feel the history in this magical, peaceful place. It seems very real and authentic and yet it has many modern amenities including WiFi and air conditioning (critical in August)! Grace is delightful and is happy to help with whatever you need. The cooking class with Bruno is a hoot. We had a great time despite the heat – picking fresh herbs from around the grounds, chopping the ingredients for dinner and even getting a sample of homemade bruschetta fresh out of the oven with a glass of vino – also made onsite of course. Stefano the owner was happy to show us his personal residence and views from the tower. We did the hike into San Gimignano, which took about 1:45 and wound through vineyards, up and down the hills of tuscanny and over a small creek – we HIGHLY recommend. The staff helped us get a taxi back to the Torrachia in the afternoon. After a long day of hiking and touring, the refreshingly cool pool was fantastic! The best views of Tuscanny and San Gimigiano right from the pool. The only slight disappointment was that the room with the terrace had an interior courtyard view – not the best view of the surrounding hills. But given the history, authenticity, and the incredibly nice staff, this was very easy to get over. Bottom line – we would absolutely highly recommend staying here.

Pertinho de San Gimignano, um paraíso no alto de uma colina repleta de verde, sossego e afeto. O acesso é feito por uma estradinha de terra(são 3,5 km)rodeada de verde e outras propriedades do local. Ao chegarmos no grande portão da propriedade já vislumbramos o paraíso e as delícias que iríamos experimentar por quatro dias. Quarto espaçoso- há opções no térreo e no 2o andar, cama confortável e excelente climatização. Banheiro com ótimas instalações, banho quentinho com produtos de qualidade. Jantamos todos os dias e sempre foi uma grande experiência proporcionada pela equipe do chef Bruno e pelo atendimento perfeito e carinhoso da Giulia. Tudo com muito sabor e produtos regionais, com vinhos variados, feitos na propriedade e de excelente qualidade. A cordialidade, a atenção e o carinho mágico da Maria transformavam nossas dúvidas em deliciosas conversas repletas de dicas da região. Aiiii que saudades! Aiii que mel gostoooso! Dias maravilhosos e inesquecíveis.

Les propriétaires sont adorables, très attentionnés et à l’écoute de leurs clients. Leur site est tout simplement magnifique, très reposant. Si je retourne dans ce coin, il est certain que je séjournerai à nouveau la bas et je le recommande à tous. Nous avons également mangé un des meilleurs repas de notre voyage.
