“Can't wait to go back”
This was a beautiful hotel in a great location
“Trip of a lifetime!”
We spent the first four nights of October at this lovely hotel and used Radda as our base to explote Tuscany. The hotel is quaint but gracious. The staff bent over backwards for the hotel guests as I needed to call Rome several times looking for a bag. The garden was beautiful and the perfect spot for an afternoon bottle of local wine. We used the pool twice while there. Breakfast was great but we choose dinner elsewhere with outside seating. The Gaiole Vintage bike race came through Radda our first morning there. It set the tone for a great week. Sienna and Florence are a short drive away with many interesting stops in between. Next time we return we may rent for a month in retirement in this lovely area of Italy and Tuscany.
“Wow! What a find!”
What a wonderful hotel! We didnt know where to stay in Tuscany so last minute booked into the Relais Vignale in Radda. As soon as we arrived, we asked for an additional night! The hotel has a beautiful restaurant, a great bar (with great service and great wines), about 4 lounge areas, a swimming pool... it was the perfect place to spend your time in Tuscany. Radda is beautiful also, an ancient walled town and right in the middle of Chianti so it's a great base for the rest of Tuscany. We loved this hotel though and would recommend to everyone looking for somewhere special. The hotel and staff really made this trip... every afternoon sitting on the balcony overlooking the rolling hills of tuscany with a beautiful bottle of chardonnay... take me back!!
“Staff was VERY hospitable!”
We stayed here on our first "leg" of our vacation and then headed to another part of Italy where we did not like. RV was more than happy to take us back and give us a bigger room with a complimentary bottle of wine. Thanks RV for your hospitality we would go back again! Cheers!
“A real charmer”
The Relais Vignale is a lovely little hotel and an ideal base for exploring the Chianti region. Do not expect gold-plated-tap luxury but the hotel has bags of charm by way of compensation. Our room was a good size, comfortably furnished and with a delightful view over the vineyards and hills at the back of the hotel. One word of warning ... the bar was a little pricey, as were the restaurants and bars in Radda. The best value was the Dante Alighieri bar just across the road from the Vignale. The menu was limited and basic, but the food was well-cooked and reasonably priced. I would definitely go back.
“The icing on the cake.”
Stayed at the Relais Vignale for a week and we were more than happy, a great hotel with friendly staff in a beautiful setting, i fell in love with the tiny town of Radda in Chianti too. Would recommend to anybody.
“fantastic in Chianti”
We spent 5 wonderful days in the Relais Vignalt. The location was great for touring the countryside or Sienna/Florence. The rooms were very nice, the breakfast was delicious, the town of Radda was delightful. Howevre, the absolute best attribute was the incredibly friendly and helpful staff of the hotel. I have traveled to Italy over a dozen times. . .the Relais Vignalt is a gem!!
“Fantastic Relais In Hewart Of Chianti Region-Extremely Friendly”
My wife and I recently had four days to enjoy and relax in Tuscany. We based out of this terrific Relais Vignale in Radda in Chianti. The town is small and friendly, but the entire region is an easy, fun and pretty drive. Siena was a day trip but only 1 hour. Montalcino, San Gemingnano and Greve were all close. We were easily able to visit castles and vineyards. [Mona Lisa and Verrazano]. The people at Relais were great. Amadeo was the day manager and totally ultra friendly and warm. Patrick helped us in the evening. We would certainly return at any time of the year. We were there in the fall, and the pool was closed, but I can only imagine the pool in the summer overlooking the vineyard, olive trees and rolling holls. One of the best experiences. Thanks.
“When can I come back?”
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Relais Vignale. We were treated very well, all three couples in our group were upgraded rooms, and we loved the setting, the comfortably appointed rooms, the views, and the facilities. Only comment...watch your restaurant bill - we dined in the restaurant on two nights of our stay, and on both occasions had "extras" added. May have been innocent enough, and was quickly corrected, but worth checking before you sign to your room! Loved Radda in Chianti, will be back!
“Best location in Radda”
The hotel is the restored quarters of an old wine factory. It is old, charming and the surroundings are quite beautiful. But the room was a lot smaller than we expected. Very spartan in appearance. Rustic ceilings and furniture are the norm. The TV will not give you any english channels. Walking space around the bed is limited. But we arrived by car and fell in love with the view from our room and our balconies. Across the street is the town of Radda, full of charming restaurants, parks and shops. Down below you can stroll through the vineyards. The villa is quiet, romantic, and the breakfast is very good.
