“Very good hotel for the price”

Excellent location: very close to Siena-easy 15 min. drive. Very clean rooms and modern bathroom. Room is a bit small, but OK for two nights stay. Excellent breakfast with good variety of cereals, yogurts, coffee, eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, etc. Very good service (hotel staff speaks English); they also give you a short itinerary for Siena. Hotel restaraunt offers good wines and decent selection of meals.

Traveller's tip

Try to stay in the main building. The wings of the building look like a low class motel and are not impressive at all. Maybe they are priced lower, but I would not advise to use them.

“Beautiful setting”

We stayed 4 nights at the hotel, it was in a pituresque setting. You need a car to stay here, the hotel is off the Casetta junction on the A1. If travelling from north you need to go towards Siena then follow signs for Arezzo when you get near Siena. The hotel reception was clean and had a tv area and 1 pc for internet access. We were orginally allocated a room which had a funny smell, we went back to the reception to inform them of this, they provided an alternative room (you just have to ask if you don't like it). The alternative room was smaller but the bathroom was nicer. The rooms don't have much storage for clothes, only one cupboard which has a full length mirror inside! There was a small balcony too, some rooms have larger balconies and there was a mini-bar which we weren't charged for (best to check first). We were impressed by the roof garden on the 2nd floor, it was good to relax. There is also a pool which is half undercover, decent size and next to this there is a pool bar for snacks and drink. We used it for a mid-afternoon dip. Reception staff were fluent in english, we found the men were not as helpful as the women. Overall enjoyed it and would recommend staying here if you don't mind driving and want to get away from it all.

Traveller's tip

The place is about 15-20mins from Siena, we didn't try the restaurant but we found a nice place in Castleneuovo (one junction away on the A1) and another decent place the next junction down. There wasn't anything within a decent walking distance. Recommend taking route towards chianti to see vineyards (ask hotel for free wine tasting ticket) and there's a good restaurant in rada de chianti

“Extremely good buy.”

This hotel is well located, rooms clean and functional. A good buy for the price. Only real complaint was the internet service was undependable.

“Clean, comfortable, modern”

The Monteperti Hotel is a clean, modern space in the heart of Tuscany. Internet access, clean rooms, a full bar, and breakfast included. The staff is friendly and spoke English. Great location.

“Out of the way...”

This Hotl was difficult to find as it was about a 40 minute bus ride from Siena its self and none of the locals seemed to know where it was... including the bus driver who was on that run. I was dissapointed with this hotel choice as we only had one night in sienna and were hoping to be nearer to town.If you after a relaxing hotel to get away from it all and admire the country side of Siena it is a good choice. If your after a hotel that is close to all amenities and easy to use as a base to do some sight seeing i reccomend you choose somewhere else to stay. There is a bus that stops right out the front of the hotel but when we tried to catch it into town it was over an hour late. The breakfast was nice and most of the staff were pleasent. Overall it value for money, I was just unhappy with the location.

Traveller's tip

If catching a bus remember to validate your tickets once on the bus. No one told us that it had to be done, we just thought you have bought the ticket and thats it. But if you dont validate the ticket its a 50 euro fine.

“Nice hotel”

“Pour une détente près de Sienne”

Personnel très sympa et serviable. Déco chambre moderne mais manque d'intimité (SDB + toilettes en verre = cocasse ou coquin) et demande une petite révision. Lit ferme. Très calme sauf pour ce qui est de la climatisation (hyperactive). Petite piscine qui fait du bien quand il fait chaud. Petit dej agréable. Il faut une voiture. Selon le moment, le parking (grand) peut être plein.
