“2nd stay at Albrighton”

First trip - 40th Birthday party, slow service at bar during party and even slower service for elevensis coffee. Messed up our payment - I was told it would be debited at the time of booking so when they asked for payment as we checked out I had to walk the walk of shame! Recent trip for a family wedding - much better! Both occasions - the spa was great - clean, pleasant surroundings but pool was freezing on the latter. Guests wishing to entertain their children here were very disappointed. I have only stayed in rooms in the adjoining building so am unable to comment on the house accommodation. Pleasant decor, well maintained, friendly staff. Having stayed in many hotels, The Albrighton certainly ranks amongst the higher levels but the buffet style breakfast, cooked and left under warming plates could be improved upon, to the extent that we chose not to take breakfast on our second visit.

“Great gym, great service”

For those of you who like to work out while on "holiday", this is a great place. Accessing gyms in England/Wales is a challenge, given the laws that forbid "walk in" access. And few mid-priced hotels have gyms. This hotel is a lovely country manor, with an excellent gym and pool and hot tub. The rooms are fine, the bathrooms spacious and the food decent. The hotel staff were terrifically helpful and accommodating.

“nice hotel”

Nice room. Great spa, pool and gym.2 miles from Shrewsbury. Very clean. Room a litte tired looking. Very small portable television. Good value.

“LITTLE OASIS”

Hotel is close to Shrewsbury but is in a little oasis of its own. Old school house in a lovely setting. My room was in stable wing and was a good size and comfortable as well as secure. I did not use pool but looked fine. Had dinner in the restaurant where all staff were friendly (as was receptionist) and food was tasty. Would use this hotel again if in the area.
