Two story room with a very tight spiral staircase. The breakfast was almost non-existent. The TV's were hard to operate. The light bulbs in the room were very dim.

It is a unique boutique hotel in downtown Shreveport. The staff and facility is incredible!

Not a fan of charging for parking. Would be much better to do away with valet and allow self parking (for free) in garage. If you’re going to valet, have a valet hired separately from front desk specifically for this job. It took hours to get the car pulled off the street and we had to go down and specifically ask. The place smelled nice, and had some fresh coats of paint. Decor choices were strange. Noticed rust/hard water deposit on tub. Faucet on tub was leaking. Also noted age of jacuzzi tub was decades old (could tell from controls). Not much going on in this city, so no dining options nearby outside of door dash on Sunday night. The bed was comfortable and the room was large. Also, entrance was not under awning. If the front desk lady had not stepped out, we would have had trouble finding which entrance to use.

I chose this hotel due to the reviews I read & the distance from the convention center. I guess I may just be different, but this hotel is not a hotel I would stay at ever again. It is severely outdated, not very clean, & the sheets were terrible quality. The staff really tried to “talk up” the property by speaking of the “unique” rooms, but I was distraught when we walked into the room. Had there been another hotel nearby that wasn’t sold out, or if we could’ve gotten a refund, we would’ve canceled and reserved a room elsewhere.

This hotel is so cool! The furnishings are fun and unique. The staff was so friendly and efficient! The hotel has so much character with some knicks and scratches that added to it. Our room was huge! We looked at the 3rd floor event space and rooftop area, just being nosey, and it was amazing! We will definitely stay here again!

We were quite taken with the property. The room was more than we expected it to be and LOVED the exposed plumbing in the ceiling of the bathroom. You know there’s lots of history with this hotel. The staff was amazing as well!

The reception staff is top notch. Friendly and helpful. The WiFi is awful. I repeatedly lost connectivity with my iPad and the hotels Roku. I brought this up twice, it was never resolved. Very clean room, but I wish my bed was made and towels were changed each day.

Our son goes to college in Shreveport, and this is our favorite place to stay when we visit him. The rooms are very big and nice. There is a good bar in the lobby. Best of all, we can bring our dog with us! The only thing we don’t love about the Remington is the acoustics. The hallways are tile and everything that happens in the hall you hear in your room. This time, though, our a/c was set on “fan” so it ran all night and we didn’t hear other guests moving around. Easy fix! There are two really good coffee places in walking distance. Staff is always really friendly.

Very awkward front desk staff in the evening. Walls in standard rooms are so thin I could hear people’s phone convos (even hear the person on the line) and everything on the tv. Property is beautiful and well maintained and the morning staff was wonderful. Mixed bag. Tough to accept some of those issues for the price.

Comfy stay, potential for greatness
We stopped here overnight on our road trip. The lobby has been beautifully renovated and the front desk was welcoming, professional and helpful during our late check-in. This is a historic building in the process of being renovated. It has a lot of character and some unique vintage finds throughout. Our room was very clean and spacious with a walkin closet, mini fridge and coffee maker, desk area and sitting area. Our king sized bed was the most comfortable ever, we slept great. All the rooms are uniquely decorated which was fun. There was a jetted tub but we didn’t use it (it was an older model and we couldn’t figure out how to toggle the shower tub combo from shower to tub). While the rub was clean the area has hard water and there was some scale on the faucet. Once renovation is complete it could be a stunner. There is a rooftop that would benefit from a rooftop bar, a large hall that would make a great restaurant or event space, given its nice location downtown near bars and restaurants.

Super nice staff. Very helpful. The hotel is very cool! So much history and very cool remodel. The area around was old and very basic. Very limited eating places. The streets were desolate. The eatery Blind tiger was open and great food. The staff was friendly. I recommend staying at the Remington. Very cool!

The staff could not be more accommodating, professional or friendly. It would be like staying at a 5star resort if it was ran by your old college roommate. Anything you need was just a call away and delivered with a smile. Hotel is nice. Downtown Shreveport is mostly dead
We were in town on a legal matter and the hotel was very close to the courthouse. That was a plus. It is a beautiful hotel. Breakfast was a bit skimpy. We had not been to Shreveport in several years. The downtown area has really died. Both within and outside of the casinos many restaurants were closed permanently or closed half of the week. It was a bit shocking.
