On Sunday 28th Jan there were some events at the hotel in the evening. As guests of the hotel, we struggled to use the lifts as there was large crowd streaming through the lobby and heading to the events. Some sort crowd control should be in place. This is probably the only unpleasant experience I have encountered at the hotel but a significantly unpleasant one.

It’s a Sheraton.
Great location next to public transport and in heart of business district. Comfortable hotel, although AC didn’t go below 20c and housekeeping inconsistent. Breakfast was good if you went early.

Amazing customer service
Impressive customer service. It is likely unprecedented for them having a guest that rented an ebike and had no where to park. I am impressed that they went out of the way to find a safe place for me to park. As Ebike wasn't allowed near the hotel lobby and they bothered to let their staffs know that there is this crazy guest with rented ebike so I am not stopped everytime I ride to the parking area.

Convenient location, very friendly staff. Gym and pool were under renovation which was not disclosed at the time of the booking but there is a smaller temp gym and was offered to use the pool facilities at the St. Regis 👍

This is a nice, clean hotel that takes great care of their guests. I had several special requests during my 5 days stay which they were always happy to accommodate whether the check in person, Lucky, the concierge staff who helped me send FedEx which is not so easy for a foreigner, the cleaning staff, the F and B manager and even the wait staff. Staying there for 5 days and eating the buffets for every meal since I was there for a conference, I did find that the variety of food could have been improved. The Italian restaurant, Mezzo, also needs to improve its offerings in my opinion. Overall, it is not particularly luxurious from Western standards.

The sign of hotel was not obviously shown in front of the hotel, so we needed to take some time to look for it. We celebrated our anniversary there and the hotel put in some romantic decorations and offered us a complimentary cake which was very delicious, we really appreciated it. Overall the hotel was great, if the buffer breakfast could provide more varieties then it would be excellent.

The hotel and location is great. The room was huge, a very pleasant surprise. The shower wasn’t great as just a shower wand and the water wasn’t hot. The room was freezing and the temperature control wasn’t working well. There was mould under the mirror in the bathroom

A disappointed stay
All our requests (higher floor, city view, away from lift lobby) were not accepted without informing us while checked in. The staff told us that our room type had been upgraded, but in fact the room was booked at that grade. The cost of breakfast is, in my opion, expensive and we didn't have it since there are loads of food stalls/restaurant nearby. The room is spacious but a bit old, and it is facing other wings and above the ventilation vent...no view at all. The gym is excellent and the indoor swimming pool is good. But the outdoor swimming pool is old

We checked in at the hotel, paid deposit but they said the room wasn’t ready and asked us to come back and get the key. We came back after a long day (at 2am) but only to find that they have sold out our rooms!!! At this current moment the issue was still not yet settled. Not a chance again for me to stay here.

Couldn’t find my reservation, and after an agonising 45 minutes, and a couple hundreds of dollars of roaming calls, with virtually little assistance, they still can’t find my booking. Then the supervisor Sophia finally took over and found it in 20 seconds! I have been here many times and usually I am normally satisfied with the hotel and it’s staff but this time I was disappointed. In addition, other local hotel guests never wait in line and are extremely rude. Next time I would rather just go to Ritz Carlton, also Marriott but the quality of the staff and guests are much better.

The movies are very new, RMB 58 unlimited viewing, room was large and comfy, overall a pleasurable experience.

I wish i should never stay in this hotel.
This is the only 5 stars hotel that i had un-pleased staying. First, when the elevator door opened, old and mold smell from the floor carpet is disguising, like dirty rug never got clean well. in the room, all is very old and small. the shower room is very small, and in a bad design, after a quick shower, water anywhere! There's no temperate control in room, it was so cold, i had to ask portable heater and comfort. The most horrible thing happened is the Bluetooth speaker in hotel ring at 6 a.m.on Saturday, while i worked late until 2 a.m. which completely ruined my weekend!!!

The only complain i have is that i did not get to utilise the hotel facilities due to winter weathers. But the room is so comfortable i really dont feel like going anywhere but stay in the hotel room all day. Thank you.
