“Nice Resort...Great Staff”
I heard alot of bad experience opinions about Savoy specially about the room getting older. But when i have been there in the feast -above 90% occupancy- i did not suffer from any of bad issue except little bit. Briefly, once i arrived, i waited few minutes till some one came to get my luggage which gave me an initial negative impression. Then i went to reception, they were already waiting me and i had a warm welcome and my room was ready. First challenge was my request to have the breakfast in the room because i have a 9 months baby who is always sleeping in the same time of breakfast buffet, the receptionest said it must be charged as a separate in room dining meal -Although my accomodation was BB- but he will do his best to solve this problem. I arrived the room whch was a sea view, it was nice, but 2 palm trees were blocking a part of the view, the room was clean and the bathroom was nice and great balacony. But i recommend to have a pool view room. The hotel has aloooooot of facilities, many restaurants and bars, and entertainment always going. Soho square is one step out of the hotel, it was very nice.
“A real respite near the airport in Sharm El Sheikh”
My colleague and I needed a few days to relax after a very intense work project in Sinai and we stayed at the Savoy! It was a wonderful experience on all levels (except that they insisted I wear shoes at the restaurants....which was a bit annoying as the weather was warm and I preferred my sandals). The Savoy was expansive and had many restaurants and many services on site. I will go back there again!
“Good location and has character”
I travelled alone in October, the weather was perfect and the pool area is very nice to relax by. Views out to see gorgeous. Breakfast wasn't to 5 star European style but was ok, the italian restaurant on site is very good (dinner) and I also had a good meal at 'Saffron' (also dinner) on Soho square. This hotel is far removed from the tackiness of Narma Bay but, and I suspect this is the same for many of the hotels in Sharm (except 4 Seasons), don't expect 5 star by UK standards, it is 4 star. If you do this then you will not be disappointed. The staff are very friendly, esp around the pool area, really helpful, which makes up for some of the finishing touches needing a bit of a polish.
“Very Nice Hotel but not a 5 star”
The hotel is located in Soho Square and has many facilities such as several pools different bars and restaurants, gym and spa, business centre etc.. It also has a private beach which is very well maintained. Not a typical beach as it is a coral reef but there is a jetty/pier that takes you to a swimming point which I found to be quite deep but very nice for snorkelling. There are life guards which are willing to help. The staff in general are very nice and approacheable. In terms of food Due to our package I can only comment on the breakfast which was very varied and tasty. The hotel also offers 25% discount on their restaurants as well as any restaurant or bar in soho square. Room service is quite good and food excellent however the menu could be improved with more variety. The tv cable had a poor signal and was not interactive. It could have offered features such as pay per view or even view your bill to keep track of expenses. Additionally, the square in general was very expensive compared to Naama Bay.
“Very well run and relaxing hotel”
A really lovely hotel. very relaxing holiday. Would highly recommend. C
“Good value family hotel in good location but not a 5 star venue”
This hotel is good value, rooms are fine with good size balcony but hotel layout is large and confusing and overall is old and dated. Would not want to be there in peak season as we were there in low season and there were enough families and yelling kids, noisy dining area etc. Breakfast is included which was generous just very crowded and incredibly noisy - the hotel should also do something about the chairs which screech along the tiled floor. Location is good with dining options a short walk away. Would recommend for families, beach, pools, kids activities, but not couples.
