Very nice resort for family vacation

I stayed at Renaissance Golden View Beach resort with my family for 9 days in October 2014. We truly enjoyed our stay and will be happy to come back next year. First, the hotel has a very beautiful panoramic sea view. Second, it has lots of facilities that we enjoyed including 4 swimming pools for adults and kids, spa salon with relaxing massages and very delicious food at Coast International Restaurant with plenty of fresh fruits and lots of other meal choices. Third, the hotel has a very nice coral reef and makes snorkeling a unique experience. It also has plenty of space to take sun baths. Fourth, the resort entertains the guests with the Arabic dancing and songs almost every other day. I strongly recommend this resort for family vacation.

Very good hotel

The hotel is very good, comfortable, staff are friendly but... I felt that they treat foreigners better than Egyptians and that what I mentioned in my discussion with the receptionist but they apologized and they treatment has been changed. I liked this hotel and will back again next year.

Pros: It is a lovely hotel. My room and public areas.
Cons: Free internet access in rooms.
Location: Charged shuttle service to The Old Market and Naama Bay. The Aqua Park and Ill Mercato shopping square are both very close.

Worst service ever, rude and unprofessional staff

Cons: Change the security manager and train all security staff on how to deal with humans
Although overall service was ok, the hotel security staff have totally ruined the experience of our whole group. Security staff are all rude and deal with all tourists as if they were criminals or terrorists. When asked the reception to see the manager they didn't allow us to do so. They were impolite and one of them even verbally insulted an old man in our group. Later when we got to talk to the manager, he was polite and apologetic and called the security manager who seemed to know nothing about service industry and didn't seem to see anything wrong with his staff's attitude and rudeness as long as they're doing their job. Another group member left the hotel and moved to the Sheraton. Will never ever use this hotel again.

Pros: Everything. Hotel was so clean and well maintained and beautifully organised and furnished. It has all necessary amenities. Staff were excellent.
Cons: Nothing
Location: sharm el sheikh was beautiful and there all lots of activities to keep everyone busy and happy. Snorkling, scooba diving, swimming, quad biking.
excellent experience. My children loved everything about the hotel and the resort. there was so much to do. The staff were lovely, very polite and helpful. The hotel was beautiful and had every facility covered.There was lots of water sports to do at the resort and everything was very organised and taken care to meet the guests needs.

Lovely sunshine break

We stayed at the Rennaissance Golden View for a week over Easter. On arrival we received a free upgrade to a suite which was fantastic. The grounds and the hotel itself are fantastic.Service wise, we found the reception staff fantastic as were the staff at the lower pool bar. Sadly - the service by the restaurant staff was very slow and we had to remind staff on numerous occasions when we had requested tea / a drink. Foodwise the hotel was very good. Breakfast was excellent as were the mid afternoon poolside snakcs that we tended to opt for over a full buffet lunch. Evening meals were also ok with us always being able to find something we were happy to eat. Would definitely go back again

Hotel with beachfront location

Pros: Really lovely staff who were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help
Cons: Have an all inclusive option available at all the restaurants and not just 'Coast'
Location: Great beach front location with watersports on hand - banana boat, waterskiing. Bazaar selling local crafts within walking distance of hotel.
Although the staff at the hotel were great, the hotel was a little disappointing. We went for the all inclusive option however on arrival found out that there was only one restaurant that we were able to eat in as part of this option - Coast (for breakfast, lunch and dinner). All the other options - Acapulco Joes and the Italian restaurant were not part of the all inclusive deal. Drinks at the lobby bar were also not included. We were also competing to eat meals at the all inclusive restaurant 'Coast' with the local flies which made us not want to eat there as often as we might have done otherwise.

This can not be a real Renaissance !

Pros: The landscaping was amazing and the location was excellent
Cons: Start to provide service to guests. Teach staff to respond to guests and smile. Provide more food outlets for guests not on all inclusive basis.
Location: We had several good meals at Al Fanar restaurant just outside the hotel by the beach. Big Selection and very reasonable prices.
We booked 3 rooms for 9 days on bed & breakfast basis. Checking in was smooth but the rooms were nothing like the photos on the website. Rooms were spacious but very basic. No tea & coffee making facilities in the room. I asked for a kettle and a day later a coffee maker was delivered. I asked for a kettle again and one that did not work was provided a day later. Finally on day 4 a working kettle was provided. Beds were comfortable but the pillows were very lumpy. No thinner pillows were available. This hotel mainly caters for all inclusive guests but people like us on B&B will have a hard time to find somewhere - or something - to eat here. The Mexican restaurant was overpriced and had nothing to do with Mexican food. The Italian had a very limited and uninspiring menu so we walked out. We ate a totally tasteless Pizza and never repeated the experience. We ate all lunches and dinners outside. The Breakfast buffet was adequate but the total lack of service was annoying. Guests were never greeted, never shown to a table and had to grab a waiter's attention if they want anything like hot water for tea. This could be a good hotel if they have the right management to motivate the uninterested staff. They had no food & beverage manager, no executive chef, no executive house keeper and the General manager was new. The lack of management and supervision was very evident throughout the hotel.

We loved our stay at the Renaissance, just what we needed. Great seaview room, amazing views and sunrise. Great selection of restaurants, good quality food and friendly staff.
