Monte carlo sharm very nice and clean hotel , you can feel by luxury touch from first moment , friendly staff and polite and room wide enough with 2 large bed full of facilities and big selection from food from ultra all inclusive 24 hours

Flawless
One of the best resorts in Sharm el Sheikh. Staff is very professional and well trained especially the receptionists. Check in and check out were super quick and easy. Pools are very clean and spacious. Rooms are big and always clean. Food variety is amazing and the taste is perfect, the restaurant staff are doing everything in their power to make the guest happy. Beach is beautiful and perfect for snorkeling lovers. This resort is simply flawless. Thank you Monte Carlo team keep up the good work.

Nice hotel if you can check-in
I have issues with this hotel. I booked room for name of my father in law and showed up for check-in with him. My father in law not supposed to live there (i booked other hotel for him) and we try to change a name for reservation to mine and check-in for me. But if you book under someone else name - you CANN"T check in even if you come with that person, even if it is you father in law. I spend ~1 hour in reception and in the end they ask me to make a reservation under my name or the cann't check-in my at all.

Better than most in sharm. On the beach hotel.
Huge resort with beautiful gardens and pools. Rooms need a little updating .. staff needs a lot of training but nice and polite nonetheless ..food horrible but not so bad for Egypt ..location perfect ..on the beach with direct access from hotel. Way better than any other hotels I've stayed at in that area

great resort
staff couldn't understand that children are from 0-17 on expedia, insisted that 14 was their child age ceiling and wanted to make us pay an extra $200 despite our reservation being confirmed and paid in full one month prior to our trip. We had booked two rooms for 2 adults and 3 children and called the resort to make sure everything was okay. We were ensured of that yet still this problem came up two days after check in. On the bright side, all inclusive is the way to go.

Very good hotel
While families are well catered for, I wouldn't say this would suit you if Ibiza is your thing. The overall ethos is quiet relaxation, albeit that Eurotrash dance music could be heard occasionally wafting on the wind from one of the adjoining hotels. The hotel rooms are just slightly tired, and the inter-connecting doors from the adjoining room let through too much noise. This is what stops me from giving this a 5/5 rating. We paid extra for the Club Room, which was really worth it, since the Club Lounge catered to most of our eating needs. The staff there were excellent and thoughtful. One's tipple of choice was remembered from day one, and refills arrived by psychic intervention. And I hadn't realised before we went, that the drinks are included. Result. We found we only dined in the restaurants in the evening. The Lebanese and Italian restaurants were pretty good. Free wi fi was a bonus, and as a frequent business traveller who laments the poor quality of hotel internet connections in supposedly developed countries, I was astonished that we got 5mbs - 6mbs reliably the entire time. It saved my bacon,as work intruded into the week. It was astonishing value overall. The extras (food, Spa, laundry etc) aren't cheap, but they are very reasonable by 5 star hotel standards.

Friendly but tired 5 star
Stayed for 5 nights. Hotel was clearly 5 star once upon a time but is now in real need of a facelift. The hotel rooms were clean but bathroom fittings in particular were sub standard but useable. The pool areas are fine, always clean although in need of a lick of paint here and there. Bar areas around the hotel were pretty basic in terms of offerings. Food distinctly 3 star. All in all cost saving measures are evident throughout. One particular annoyance was the fact that wifi was only offered in the reception area at a cost of roughly £6 for 30 mins. Pathetic and unacceptable for any hotel with 5 strata next to its name. Staff were always friendly and helpful but service sometimes muddled. I enjoyed my stay despite the hotels shortcomings. Approach with a three star rating in mind.

A great holiday in a beautiful hotel
We had a really great holiday at the Ritz Carlton. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are of an excellent quality. The hotel will appeal to couples and families alike. The pool tends to be used by families with small children and the beach side loungers occupied by adults without children and this works well. I would say the best feature of this hotel is the attentive staff who will assist you in any way they can. There are lots of activities going on throughout the day including water aerobic, yoga and organised snorkelling outings for those who want to join in.

Luxury at an affordable price
This is a top hotel, surprisingly under-filled (presumably because of economic conditions); we a most wonderful stay. The staff who were plentiful were extremely polite and attentive, made our stay an absolute pleasure. This hotel has to be one of the finest destinations on offer.

Relaxing sunny holiday.
The hotel is on a large plot of land and so there was plenty of space around the pools and we were not all on top of each other. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The Italian restaurant was excellent. We had a lovely sunny week relaxing.

Great Motel by Ritz Carlton
the sea view room i was supposed to get had a garden in front and then another hotel wing after the garden. the sea was somewhere beyond these obstacles and you could get a glimpse of some specs of water every now and then. it is more of an upgraded motel. swimming pools were promised to be heated but weren't and it was freezing waters.

4th visit to this hotel. As before we upgraded to club lounge, which was wonderful. Hotel was very quiet, which meant not all restaurants open every day, which was inconvenient, a we do not like the buffet restaurant. On one night we were the only people in la Luna the Italian restaurant. Staff at the club were as always outstanding. On check out the reception had a problem with American express, nothing to do with our card, she said they had problems all week. But was unwilling to call to sort out the transaction. So had to lose our points and pay with another card. Not sure what she would have done if we were unable to provide an alternative. All we wanted was a lazy week in the sun, which was achieved at a price. Resort next door was noisy from Italians playing very loud music, so we had our earphones in quite a lot. Hotel said they have complained, but noise still there.

My stay at the Ritz Carlton exceeded my expectations and left me pleasantly surprised. Contrary to reviews I had read on travel sites elsewhere, there is little I would criticise about this hotel. My room was very clean and contemporary in decor, while the bathroom was of a very high standard. The furniture showed signs of ageing but overall, I was very happy with the room. The staff were excellent. Attentive, helpful and very polite which only served to enhance the holiday experience. The gym was well equipped(and rarely used), which was perfect for a workout at any time of the day. I think the hotel attracted a more mature and mixed demographic, which included retirees, a few families with young (but not too noisy kids), and couples in their late 30s-40s. That might have something to do with choosing to travel outside of school half-term. It was also devoid of a youngish crowd (20-36 year-olds), so there wasn't the rowdy element you can get at some locations. For someone looking for a pleasant and quiet holiday it was perfect. The local high street/shopping centre is called il Mercato, comprising restaurants and a few shops to cater to the tourist. However, I found it lacking in any atmosphere, charm or character. Although, it does appear to still be under development with a lot of vacant shop units. If you are looking for somewhere more lively to spend the day/evening you'll need to venture into "Soho". Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would visit again

This is the first time I am compelled to write a review on any hotel. It is definitely not a 5 star hotel, not sure how it achieved that. On arrival, we were taken to a room which was not the room that we paid for. We then were taken to a second room, which was dusty and then finally we had no option but to pay extra for a club room, which was not of a 5 star standard. In terms of the resort it is very good, however the rooms were dusty, bathrooms were not of a 5 star standard, in fact the maintenance work on the tiles in the bathroom were of a very poor standard, tub was old and generally the bathroom was not a pleasure to be in. The food was not of a good standard- breakfast. In fact, we became unwell after we ordered a chicken pitta and asked the chef to taste it, it was that bad. When we ordered food by the pool or from room service it arrived cold. On checking out the person behind the desk did not ask us how our stay had been, an indication of perhaps them knowing that their standards are not up to scratch. If you are expecting a 5 star hotel, this is not the one. We have stayed at other hotels under this name which were of a high standard, although sadly not here.

Nice Beach
Hotel was nice and the beach was great. Be ready to pay $20 for half hour internet access, $10 for a can of Soda or bottled water in the room bar. Breakfast is the best meal. The other resurants are way over priced and the quality was at best, average. Take a taxi to the bay and eat and shop there and use the hotel for beach and spa. The location is isolated so there are no night activities and you just have to take a taxi since it is too far to walk to anything. Will probably stay at another hotet closer to the bay next time.

Children dominate - no restricted areas
The hotel was not 5 star standard with regard to service - poor areas were the bar and some restaurants, but room service and cleaning was excellent, as was the accommodation. This is pre-dominantly a family hotel, with children allowed everywhere, including the bar at night, and the main dining room was noisy too, especially at breakfast time with no provision being made for quiet areas for those travelling without families. This meant the holiday less relaxing than it should have been. However, there was plenty of space for sunbathing with good beach attendants and the pools were large, uncrowded and great for swimming.

This Ritz caters mainly for the Russian crowd, lawn signs are in Russian as well as menus (the menus come in Arabic, English and Russian unlike the lawn signs.) It is unlike any other Ritz the room still use pull curtains unlike electric as found in Bahrain, The interior is as good as a 4star hotel, although the staff were extremly helpful ( trying to make the best out of a bad situation.

We stayed here in March 2009 and had a wonderful holiday. The hotel was super and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. It is definitely on the expensive side, but well worth the extra money. The restaurants were wonderful, which was good as it is a bit of a ride into the town. But the town was so full of vendors trying to sell stuff that it was much more pleasant to just stay at the resort. The dive shop onsite was so convenient, and the staff were fantastic. On the downside, drinks at the hotel are very expensive and we weren't aware until too late that you cannot purchase alcohol in stores, except within 24 hours of arrival. Then you can purchase at the duty free shop in town. We could not find a grocery store which even sold beer. The minibar in the room has only beer, no wine or other alcohol. So bring your own (not sure whether this is legal or not) or stock up at the duty free just after arrival. And watch out for perfume sellers! We booked a trip to the pyramids with the tour arranger in the hotel. This was a very easy way of seeing the sights, just be warned that you'll end up being dragged into a perfume shop, from which it is very difficult to escape without having to spend several hundred dollars on mediocre perfume. Don't let them take you there, it is a waste of time and money. We were very sorry later that we did not look into doing a short Nile cruise, instead of wasting time in the perfume shop. The only good thing was that it was air conditioned! Otherwise, we had a wonderful trip and would love to return.

Havinig stayed at other Ritz Carltons, the one in Sharm Elsheikh does not meet expectations. The rooms are of a lower standard than other Ritz's. The management was so kind to upgrade us to a suite after complaining three times and looking at a total of 4 rooms before we were happy. The restaurants were very good and most staff are friendly although tend to forget requests, e.g. for the newspaper in the morning or for the taxi back to the airport. Not a bad hotel, but not a proper Ritz.

Fornøyd med oppholdet, men Kast ut gullsmeden!
Hotell, betjening og servicen de hotellansatte gir er upåklagelig. Hadde mest kontakt med servitørene Walid og Walid og de ordnet opp i det meste, noe de selvsagt fikk tips for. Men at de har en gullsmed som får være på hotellets området, i foajeen som forsøkte å svindle oss er utilgivelig. Tak det opp med reiselederen og han skulle ta det videre med hotellledelsen for hotellet står tydeligvis som garantister for de salg han utfører. Gullvekten gjemte han bak den andre disken, og det var slik han forsøkte å lure oss. Min sønn skulle kjøpe en gullring på 6 gram, når vi kom til betaling og ville veie ringen var den bare 3,9 gram. En annen ting som var negativt var at de hadde ikke fri wifi til oss selv om vi hadde ultra all inklusive. Jeg bestilte rom til mine to sønner via hotels.com, de fikk gratis wifi, for de bodde på disse rommene, mens jeg som betalte og hadde tur via amisol måtte kjøpe ekstra wifi,,,, Jeg kommer til å få en sjokkregning da jeg ikke oppdaget det før det hadde gått 33mb, dvs kr. 30 pr mb. x 33 blir en nett sum av kr. 990,- for å sjekke vg i 3 minutter. Det er dyrt det. Fikk kjøpt wifi til 12 euro etter dette. Maten ok, men de hadde ikke bacon. Det savnet vi til frokosten, vi tror det var pga at mesteparten av gjestene var muslimer når vi var der. Lite skandinaver, mest russere og italienere, samt mange muslimer.

Ich kenne dieses Hotel schon lange und verbringe 2× im Jahr dort meine Ferien. Das Management vom Ritz Carlton hat mir besser gefallen. Ich mag keine Hotels mit all inklusive und das ist leider so jetzt im Monte Carlo. Der Service leidet so sehr darunter. Ich mag die Lage des Hotels, werde aber weiterhin nur mein Frühstück dort einnehmen

الفندق رائع كموقع وكتعامل موظفيه ايضا ممتاز وكمنتجع متكامل ومريح وخصوصي وقد افكر بالسكن فيه مرة اخرى ضايقني جدا جدا أمر وهو انني طلبت من الفندق أن يقوم بتجهيز الغرفة لذكرى زواجي من ورود وشموع وبالون وبمقابل اقوم بدفعة ولكن مع الأسف الشديد جدا لم يهتمون بذلك أبدا ولم يبالون ولم يقدرون ذبك مما ادى بخسارتي لهذه الليلة المهمة وهالأمر زعلني واغضبني بكل امانة

Skønt hotel i Sharm
Skønt ophold på Ritz. Vi havde nogle dejlige dage på dette hotel. Værelset var rigtig fint, morgenmaden var god og med et stort udvalg. Vi spiste også aftensmad på hotellet en enkelt aften og det var også lækkert og varieret. Skønne poolområder... Vi kan varmt anbefale dette hotel.

Flott hotell, men latterlige priser på drikke etc
Veldig fint hotell, svær strand, fine rom, luksuriøst opplegg og veldig hyggelige folk som jobber her, veldig serviceminded betjening. Rommene er ganske lavt priset for det man får, rommene er helt supre. En ulempe er likevel at mat, drikke og tjenester her til tider er latterlig dyre. Feks to små pils fra minibaren koster hundre norske, noe som er helt vilt til egypt å være uansett hvor fint hotellet er. Transport til flyplassen kostet 250 kroner, turte ikke satse på at vi fant taxi utenfor hotellet da vi måtte rekke et tidlig fly. Taxi koster kanskje tretti kroner, så dette var også ganske drøyt. Dette hotellet er likevel flott, men av og til fikk jeg følelsen av at prisene var så høye bare fordi de kan ta den prisen de vil, til tross for at den ofte er latterlig høy, dvs norske priser på ting.

Non e' un ***** le camere e soprattutto i bagni non sono adeguati alla categoria
Dalla catena Ritz ci si dovrebbe aspettare il massimo ma non e' cosi a Sharm. Il complesso e' globalmente di buona qualita' ma le camere lasciano del tutto a desiderare. Il bagno e' di vecchia fattura con una vasca rovinata e sommariamente pulita. All arrivo ci hanno proposto (prima di vedere la stanza) di darci un Up Grade stanza club per il costo di ben 100 Usd al giorno.... Poco serio. Ristoranti, piscina, e strutture esterne OK.
