What an excellent experience my wife and I had. We took an extended weekend to Sharm El Sheik and loved the area and all the excursions we took. Regarding the hotel … we could not fault it. The room was excellent overlooking the pool, the staff (from the cleaning team in the room to the guys behind the bar) were so attentive!! We could want for nothing more. The food was good, endless cocktails and drinks if/as required. In fact, we have been married 26yrs and lucky enough to have been on over 40 breaks abroad. We never go to the same place or hotel twice as why would you .. life is about different experiences. HOWEVER .. this is the first place that we agreed to come back again and replicate the experience. I’m not sure if at this point you are unsure if I loved it or not …. but words can’t describe how happy we were!! Well done guys!!

We traveled all the way to sharm el shiekh and this place turned us away because they didn't accept our legal marriage document. Horrible service. The reservation was in my name and they only spoke to my husband. I've never been treated so casually in the hospitality industry. They didnt help us at all, just turned us out on the street after dark and totally ruined our time in sharm.

Lovely all inclusive property including all meals, drinks, activities. Wonderful staff. I felt perfectly safe as solo woman traveler. Some downsides… a bit far so any off site dining or similar requires transportation. Food is ok, not great, but cannot complain since it’s included. The hotel promotes itself as green, but so much energy wastage. Room lights were turned on during room servicing and left on all day until I shut them upon return. (There is a key activated light system similar to other international hotels, but it’s useless, apparently over-ridden.) WiFi in room is poor, but works well in most public areas.

The hotel is nice and well kept, pool and beach area are very nice as well. No food or drinks service at the beach. The food overall is average specially de breakfast with just a few options and they never change the menu. Lunch was just ok at the buffet. They charge for room service they charge for in room mini bar and specialty dining (only one restaurant available). One star to the alcohol drinks they use unbranded alcohol bottles that taste like fake drinks very poor or no quality drinks at all.

My mother and I stayed at Jaz Fanara for a week and we absolutely loved it. The resort is beautiful, rooms are nice and clean, staff is very polite and friendly, food is tasty and healthy. The beach is a real pearl: the most beautiful water I have ever seen. I wanted to thank in particular Sumaya from customer relationships, she has been amazing and took great care of us throughout the week, she’s a star.

I would recommend Jaz. But few of the Egyptian resorts are the '5 stars' often advertised. Nor should one believe the ocean of fake reviews - I'm sure this will drown within them. Most of my criticism probably applies to the majority of resorts in the area. Pros The house snorkeling / reef is world class The property is expertly groomed The common spaces are also lovely Staff is friendly and attentive Food and drinks quality is often good, but can fluctuate Resort size was not overwhelming, nor overly busy (early May) AC works everywhere (sometimes too well) Omelet chef knows his business Cons - - Noise pollution within and without the resort - The beds are hard and pillows are somehow harder - The rooms are outdated - Showers need more water pressure - There should be more info on how to treat the reef To elaborate, there are elements of the Jaz that are superb. We would consider coming again. But some choices we found bothersome and believe would drive certain travelers insane. For example, the level of noise pollution was shocking and ubiquitous. 10am or 10pm, there could be music. Swimming at the reef and you would hear Miley Cyrus' new single battling against the loudspeakers of neighboring resorts. Totally bizarre, and somehow standard across Sharm. ***The fake reviews across Egypt are a big problem. Travel with healthy skepticism. We live in the post truth world. Vendors lose the ability to react to criticism.

Nice location and service, very crowded
Wonderful, warm and attentive service at this hotel. Beautiful views of the sea abound. The food is good at the buffet. The beach is crowded and accessible down a steep stair.

Great Stay!
Overall, this was a great stay. The main restaurant, Medina is a bit outdated and could do with a refurb. The food was ok- always fresh and clean. The restaurant connected to the relax pool is beautiful and modern. The waiters in Medina restaurant are very helpful and attentive. I would say the majority of the staff at the hotel are helpful. The animation team do well trying to get people involved in the daily activities. There are plenty of things to do here, but if you want to relax, it is perfect for this too. All in all, a great hotel with excellent staff who are very friendly and always willing to help. Would I come back, hell yes!

Good all inclusive hotel, very clean, good service. Nice outdoor areas. Food is good for an all inclusive, don’t expect the best food but is ok. Private beach, big pools, tennis, ping pong, lots of bars. Snorkelling is brilliant!!

Good hotel but poor food
We stayed for 5 nights at Jaz Fanara. The overall stay was OK. The pool areas were great, the room was pleasant. The pools are nice and clean. Always plenty of sunbeds. The main restaurant is in desperate need of re-decorating. It looks awful and feels like a canteen. The hotel was quiet when we stayed but the restaurant was always full and noisy. We spent almost all of our meals at the Jaz Residence as it looks much nicer but we did get mild food poisoning here which made us unwell for 2 days. The selection of food wasn’t huge either. The room was OK. Comfy bed and nice bathroom however the patio door did not lock.

Our first room had dirty towels, broken bathroom door and significant noise coming from the outside of the resort. Upon complaining about the room condition, we received a new room but again dirty sheets. We told them we wanted to leave the hotel the following day but they gave us a new room again. Our 3rd room was in a much better condition and facing the pool. The Italian restaurant was a total catastrophe…avoid it as much as you can. The overall service was decent and the staff was very friendly. If you have any expenses added to the room, be aware that at the checkout you cannot pay in Egyptian Pounds unless you a national.

10/10 stars, the staff, property and location is beautiful! So close to the ras mohammed national park you can see the fish straight from the beach. Everyday there is a variety of activities with the team. The staff were welcoming and kind. Definitely the best hotel in Sharm for pure egyptian culture and hospitality. Will be visiting again hopefully in the future.

Jaz Fanara is one of the best resorts in Sharm El Sheik. Excellent staff, good food and facilities. The beach is private and well maintained - beautiful ocean. I recommend Alyesa, client relations for any event planning,.advice etc. She is the best !!!! Professional, knowledgeable and on top of her game. Jaz Fanara meets the 5 stars under Egyptian standards. My recommendation to the staff is to pay attention to the details. For ex: complementary champagne after a celebratory event, and thinking above and beyond. Thank you NM

Very poor internet connection. Not stable, keeps disconnecting and unavailable in most parts of the facility. Whatsapp calls do not go through. Better buy an Egyptian SIM card. Food is good. Fish and local dishes are delicious. Clean. Good room service. Make sure to pay your tips in advance. Beach area is so so. No fresh water or toilet facilty at the beach. Need to climb a mountain to get a fresh water shower after sea. Umbrellas do not shield you from the sun. Need to stock on 50 spf. Fresh beach towels arrive at your room everyday. Mosquitos are a major problem. They fume every evening with no success. Esp a huge problem travelling with children. Make sure to bring repellent and bite creams in large amounts. The bugs are quite aggressive in the evenings. Overall it is a great facilty with easy to solve problems. Nothing an IT manager and a handy man cannot solve within days. Would definitely come back if future comments convince md that internet, insect and beach shower problems are solved.

Regarding the WIFI comment , kindly be informed that we do provide a limited speed internet WIFI only at the public areas, all the information regarding the WIFI published and available in all our websites. Kindly be informed that Jaz Fanara Resort is located in the cliffs of Ras Um Seid it is one of the best dive site in Sharm EL Sheikh and it is close to the national Park RAS MOHAMED, therefore according to the saving environment government instructions it is not permitted to build a toilet on the beach in order to protect the coral reefs and there is a close by toilet next to the pool at the upper level. Our whole team is extremely committed to delivering the perfect holiday experience for each and every guest and we welcome any suggestions for improving and developing our service. I was put in a filthy room that had a heavy smoke smell. Two housekeepers came in and heavily sprayed a febreeze or other aerosal. The front desk staff eventually accommodated me and found a room and were quite nice, but I would not stay in this hotel again due to the number of rooms in disrepair or inundated with smoke. The beach does little to prevent tourists and snorkelers from harming the coral reefs on the beach.
