“Can't wait to go back next year”

What a wonderful holiday experiance. Well kept hotel with amazing staff. Everybody is ready to make you feel at home and like you are the most important guest that there is in the hotel. Hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable. Outside areas are wonderfull. Thank you for a very special and wonderfull vacation. Will see you soon.

Area recommendations

Naema Bay, for young people. Night live is a buze and lovely. People are very friendly in the shops.

“Not impressed”

This hotel looked great from the advertisement on the internet, but after checking in we were shown to our suite, which was basic, shabby and resembled student accomodation. Airconditioning vents above our beds had dirt and dust hanging out of it, paint was peeling of the wall in the room, and the bedding cover was soiled. When we checked out later that day the hotel staff were extremely rude and arrogant. We checked in to the nearby Four Seasons hotel, which was almost the same price per night, and were happy to find superb accomodation and service.

“Not Impressed”

Staff was friendly . The reception , lounges and restaurant were far from what one can expect from a five start hotel . It was like a 3 star hotel .However, the price was for a five start hotel . The quality of foods was not great but acceptable .

The resort has a nice private beach with a few choices of water sport activities. The Italian restaurant near the beach was good but the other restaurant on the beach was not clean .

“Disappointing”

It would be hard to describe the Concorde El Salam Hotel as being 5 star. The hotel rooms need to be renovated and we experienced a number of power cuts during our stay. The rooms were much more basic than expected. The hotel reception's ceiling also partially caved in due to unusually heavy rain and the rain appeared to be cascading through the ventilation and airconditioning vents. The outdoor pool also filled with mud from the gardens after the rains. The beach is ok but quite overcrowded and a number of the loungers were broken. The atmosphere of the hotel is best descibed as being rather unsophisticated and many of the clientele are rude and noisy. The staff are generally very pleasant , but service is slow. The food was poor and the breakfast offered no healthy options. Better food in the evening can be found in the nearby Soho Square which offered a few good restaurants (Thai , Chinese , Middle Eastern and Indian). The best thing about our stay was the scuba diving which was great and we went with the nearby Sinai Dive Club. We would not return.

“an awesome holiday a definate must”

This was a great holiday for our family 3 teenagers and ourselves, plenty to do, room we had was the junior suite which had 2 bathrooms which was fantastic. The room service was geat. The hotel facilities were geat including the pools and beach, we had room and breakfast, which was great as we vetnured out and looked around Soho Square which is 5 minutes walk, where there was somthing for everyone, the food was awesome great 5* quality...not one bad tummy, and everybody satisfied from Indian food, thai, malay, lebanese, eqgyptian, steak and fish and chips. Great realing holiday and not too expensive for 5

“Good winter break”

The hotel was kept very tidy and the quality of service was excellent. We had a sea view room which was kept clean but the quality of fixtures and fittings was poor. Location is great for a beach holiday but options for eating out are limited unless you travel by taxi to another bay. We were not all inclusive but the breakfasts were excellent with a huge choice so I imagine the evening meals should be pretty good.. The main pool is closed in late January for four weeks maintenance so try to avoid that period. I would certainly go back again.

“Fun in the sun in Sharm”

Concorde el Salam in Sharm (not the Sports opposite the road, in case you get confused) - was an overall great hotel ! Booked the larger executive room which might be worth it, as the standard rooms seem a bit small. Although even the exec needed a bit more love in terms of furniture, otherwise bathroom, balcony & bed were all great. Small bath however with shower but no big deal. The views from hotel are phenomenal - excactly what you see on the website is exactly what you get (even better!!) and the rimflow pool is great with a bar in the middle you swim too. Private beach is perfect gets full but fun. Didn't attempt their restaurants due to Egypt's poor hotel food reputation, didn't look nice either all buffet style, however room service food good - worth going to proper restaurants in Naama Bay. Not 5 star, but doubt any hotel in Egypt really is. Beware of the locals they try charge ludacris prices if you act like a uneducated tourist (i.e. airport taxi charged us 180 Egyptian Pounds as opposed to standard 75...) Definitely do diving not just snorkelling (girls even if you scared, it's fine!), quad biking through desert, and death-defying-bus-tour to Cairo....horrendous trip but worth it when you see the Pyramids..... Hope this review helps!

Area recommendations

Rather stay out of Naama Bay unless you want to be right in middle of tourist spot. Sharm is good location - close to airport and just taxi ride from Naama, not expensive and hotels offer free bus shuttles.

Getting around

Taxi's to Naama from Sharm approx 15mins, not expensive and worth it to rather stay outside of the central busy hub. Don't be fooled by taxi prices, find out for sure from your hotel how much they should cost! Even book cabs through hotel or use their free shuttle bus services if you want. Be ready as there is no sense of safe driving in this City.
