The hotel resort is well run with a close eye kept on it by the owner, which is always a good sign. The food for an all inclusive was well presented with a wide variety. During the stay you are also able to book into the Italian and the Indian restaurants which are on site as part of your all inclusive, you can then choose to eat there at your own expense on another evening if you so wish. I loved the fact that there are 'quiet areas' for adults only, including an swimming pool, so that helped to add to the overall relaxing experience. The hotel has 5 pools at present but increasing to 7. The spa area was well run, and in particular Samur is a great therapist.

The Royal Savoy is an adult (12+) boutique hotel (80 rooms). It's attached to the Savoy hotel, where all the restaurants are located, yet close enough. The pools at the Savoy are plenty (5) with the largest main pool I have ever seen at any resort we've been to. GREAT for small kids and not too deep (3' at max). The Royal Savoy (12+) is off to the side, with plenty of space all to itself. The amenities the Royal Savoy offers are great, the staff or very attentive and the rooms are very clean and beautiful. The pools for the Royal Savoy (3) are nice. The beach for the Royal Savoy is separated from the Savoy, but we found it to be too tight and close to other Royal Savoy umbrella/beach chairs. There is a lot of noise from the Savoy (children) side of the beach and it's only divided by hedges, and not solid ones at that. The snorkelling or diving is amazing… I've been told. And we LOVED the fact that NO tourist snorkelling boats we parked off shore like they were when we stayed at the Hyatt Regency. We were SO happy about that! The smell of diesel and the noise of a boat load of people is the last thing you want disturbing your relaxing holiday. The grounds are immaculately kept. I have never seen a resort that size, so well kept. Grass cut, no weeds, beautiful plants and water features, plus the amazing ironwork (brass) statues that were displayed all over the Savoy and SOHO square. Amazing pieces of art! We WILL BE BACK!
A beautiful hotel in well cared for surrounds. Staff very friendly and animation team amazing. All food was excellent with the exception of the French restaurant which was disappointing. Sun umbrellas would be welcomed to increase shaded areas.
Would not hesitate to return.
This is our 4th visit to the hotel. The staff are great and growing in awareness and attention to detail around diet restrictions - they managed to work around a gluten free diet very well this time. In general the staff are extremely professional and genuinely warm and friendly. The hotel itself is in lovely condition and the grounds are very impressive.
The issue that we had with this visit was putting us in an apartment adjacent to several that were going through major refurbishment. I realize that ongoing maintenance needs to happen to keep the hotel up to the high standard that they have set, but having builders, the smell of paint, and vehicles/workers coming and going from early morning until evening was not great. The hotel was probably no more than 25% occupied so I really don't understand why they could not plan the apartments used for guests to be away from these disturbances?
This unfortunate circumstance would not put me off booking again at the hotel; I just hope that their management is monitoring this kind of feedback and take steps to improve their approach to planning.
Everyone was helpful and wanted us to enjoy our stay. The atmosphere in the restaurants and around the pool and beach was one of friendliness and comfort.
There are seven hotels in the complex of which the Prestige is the best. There was space for everyone around the pools and the beaches: no us dignified scramble for sun beds.
This is a top class hotel with no stuffiness.
The sea view room we occupied was very big, had a comfortable balcony with a proper view of the sea ( no standing on tiptoe and peering round a corner to glimpse the sea.)
This holiday was fantastic value for money.
Spectacular pool and grounds. We were upgraded to a huge room on arrival. The hotel is literally 5 mins drive from airport and based in the middle between Naama Bay and Sharks Bay. A visit to 'soho square' is a must as it's lovely and you don't get any hassle from the shopkeepers. There is a pharmacy, Drs clinic, sp, great gym and three small shops in the resort although the shops do not sell any kind of drinks as the hotel wants to you buy drinks on site if you are not all inclusive. Due to hubbie going scuba diving everyday, we were b&b and had the charges for drinks were ridiculous being more than 500% in price than the shops. There is a lovely area for children to play in including indoor activities. Although the hotel do offer a free bus to Naama bay, I can imagine in peak season it will be hard to get on the bus so you will have to pay for a taxi. The hotel offer fixed price taxis that are very reasonable. The hotel is not one block of rooms but several sets of bungalows. We did pay for dinner in the buffet which we thought was overpriced and ran out of food quite quickly. The room was cleaned every day and bedding changed every two days. Although the decoration was a bit tired and could do with an update the room had plasma TV and mini fridge with welcome bottle of water on arrival. There was also tea/coffee facilities in room. The animation team offered water polo and water aerobics every day and evening entertainment for the children. A relaxing stay for us.

We would highly recommend the Sierra Hotel.
We wanted a stress free holiday and that's what we got.
The Sierra staff were great, friendly and helpful.
The food was a bit samey but you could eat in Soho Square (two mins from the hotel) lots choice at discounted rates with plenty of shops and evening entertainment if that's what you want!
We will be booking again for some winter sun and relaxation.
