“Old equipment and not so clean.”

- The air conditioner is central controlled and does not meet the needs of temperature adjustment. - The carpet on the ground is dirty. - The bathroom equipment is not well maintained. - Public space (corridor, elevator) is not well maintained. - Security concern (location and free access to any floor by people from outside)

Area recommendations

New World Holiday Haodu Hotel, Shanghai - The rates are good especially with member's price. - Location is good, near People's Square. - Service is good - Equipment is new and environment is clean.

“low cost, good location, not for you if travel with your women”

10 min from metro, the real name of hotel is Baisha hotel (now they are changing the name). I arrived at 4 pm on sunday and had to wait for 30 min - my room was not ready… staff at reception didn't speak English so I had to communicate with jests… wire ADSL in room and wifi at reception… it is Asia - nobody in a hurry to work… but It is cheap…

“poor service”

The AC in my room did not work, guess what, that was 40 degrees Celsius on that day, outrageously hot. I complained to the manager, but he just pretended to adjust the central cooling system. Several hours later, I complained again cos I just could not fall asleep. After the argument for about a couple of minutes, he finally gave in and agreed to change a room for me. Really bad service and the bathroom gave out a strange smell.

“location location location”

nice hotel,clean room, and good service, best of all, location, take airport bus line 4 to final stop, walk 15 minute to hotel. close to subway line 3, 4, and 8. shops and restaurant all around the hotel. with this price, who can ask for anything more

if you take a taxi from airport to hotel, cost around 150 to 200 RMB, but if take airport bus line 4, 22 RMB,then walk 15 or 20 minute to hotel. (or taxi less then 20RMB )

“Gute Lage, aber schlechter Service”

Die Lage in der Nähe diverser U-Bahn-Stationen und Einkaufszentren ist sehr gut. Der Service im Hotel spottet jeder Beschreibung, Englischkenntnisse sind weder an der Rezeption noch im Restaurant vorhanden. Die Bereitschaft zu helfen ist sehr gering ausgeprägt (Minibar war abgeschlossen, wurde auch nicht geöffnet; Speisekarte für den Roomservice gab es nicht; Internet gab es trotz angeblicher Verfügbarkeit nicht; Trinkwasserbehälter wurde trotz Anfrage nicht erneuert, stattdessen Empfehlung Wasser selber zu kaufen). All diese Dinge wurden an der Rezeption nachgefragt und auch daraufhin nicht geändert. Es gibt pro Zimmer nur 1 Schlüsselkarte und die auch nur gegen Pfand. Sehr hellhörig, was beim chinesischen Lautstärkelevel viel Geduld erfordert. Teetassen wurden nicht gesäubert während der Zimmerreinigung. Betten wurden nicht gemacht, sondern nur irgendwie das Bettzeug zusammengehäuft.

“Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt”

Man war von dem Hotel aus schnell in den nächsten Einkaufsstrassen von Shangahi. Unser Zimmer war ok, das Personal war freundlich und hat probiert zu helfen wo es nur konnte.

“Gerne wieder”

Gute Lage: etwa 30 Min. zu Fuß vom Bund/Einkaufsmeile, außerdem direkt hinter der U-Bahnhaltestelle Dongbaoxing Rd. (Linie 3). Die Straße, in der sich das Hotel befindet, wird zudem auch nachts noch von den Taxifahrern gerne angesteuert, was in Shanghai durchaus von Vorteil sein kann, weil die Taxifahrer bestimmte Gebiete meiden, da sie dort zu lange auf den nächsten Fahrgast warten müssten. Vom Straßenlärm dieser belebten Straße wird der Schlaf trotzdem nicht gestört.

“Gerne wieder”

Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend freundlich. Nur das Frühstück war sehr einseitig und fad. Es gab weder Tee noch Kaffee und es wiederholte sich fast alles. Es war alles sauber und ansonsten korrekt.

Traveller's tip

Eine sehr prosperierende Stadt und Shoppen ist sehr zu empfehlen. Ein Kontrast zum teuren Westeuropa! Auch ist die Stadt viel sauberer als Wien und nirgendwo ist eine Wand beschmiert.
