“Not accomodating at all - Stay away choose local hotels like Jin Jiang and Shanghai Landmark”
The rooms were too small. I had asked for a room that could fit 3 people. Ideally 2 queens. I was given very small beds and had to squeeze in. We had no space to walk around. To top it, they send me an extra bed and wonder why I said no to it (where the hell was I suppose to fit it?). They later moved me to an "upgraded room" which was smaller than the original. When I tried to ask what this was about needless to say nobody understood english. All i got was "Ok,OK" and nodding heads. I was tired and just gave up If Holiday Inn wants to maintain their brand quality, they should hire service oriented people who understand english. My mother had by mistake used up a paid water bottle. I went to pay for it on check out and after an initial conversation about paying for a bottle. The crew grouped and came back to convince me that I had mysteriously used 2 bottles. I denied and they instantly settled at one. Looks like my bargaining didn't stop on the streets of Shanghai. It was almost like they tried to squeeze it out of me last minute Stay away and choose local hotels like Jin Jiang and Shanghai Landmark
“Teresa, London”
Great location near to shopping area & The Bund. We stayed in the annex part of the hotel, carpets not great in corridor but rooms very clean. Hotel bar very expensive, would recommend shop around the corner for drinks etc. Would definitely stay here again and recomment to others.

This hotel is literally next to the Shanghai Train station and very easy to locate. The "H" for holiday is prominently displayed so we could find the hotel even at night.
“Improved Holiday Inn in shanghai”
I have been staying at this hotel for 4 times this year. Mostly for the convience, It is so close to the train station and the subway. This time was a pleasant experience. The room I stayed has just been renovated: New carpet (very cheap one), new bathroom (tiles, sink, racks). and It is free from smooking smell. So I extended another day for that reason. It was nice! The hallway is still having the terrible painting smell. I will stay there again when I take trains in shanghai.
“Average hotel; great location”
Convenient location next to Shanghai station, rates are very reasonable, the breakfast buffet is tasty, and the service is good. The room (standard superior) was passable: small windows, limited view (big unused area between room window and building outer windows), and somewhat worn down bathroom. Noise from outside all night.
“Très bon rapport qualité prix”
Le quartier n 'est pas attractif mais il est facile de se déplacer en taxi pour visiter la ville. Chambre à deux lits très confortable, très propre, le petit déjeuner au restaurant très bien servi et varié.
“飲んでいないドリンクの請求さえなければ”
部屋などは非常に良かったと思います。コンビニ買った水も一緒に請求されたし、朝食も食べていないのでその他のところが判りません。2棟並んで建っているのでどちらの棟か判りずらい。
