Paradise Islands secluded Gem

Posted 26-Apr-2015
Pros: The feeling of luxury and welcome was instant and remained that way for the duration of my stay.
Location: Beautiful beach. Facilities for water sports at the hotel. Spa, tennis courts and helicopter landing pad.
From the drive through the grounds to arriving at reception you know you are in for a treat. The warm welcome and friendly staff confirm this. I was given a tour by Jasmine (a trainee) at the resort and she was friendly, informative and courteous, a great asset. The choice of restaurants and facilities were numerous and the Olympic sized pool a focal point. The sun beds and loungers were perfectly placed and overseen by Yannick who whom nothing was too much trouble. He even reminded and escorted me to see the Hotel tortoises being fed - something I had mentioned I wished to see. The room was spacious and provided an oasis of relaxation with a huge comfortable bed. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would thoroughly recommend the hotel.

Brilliant Seychelles

Posted 15-Jan-2015 on Hotels.com
The hotel itself is absolutely fantastic, the team is superb, they do their best to make it as personal of a relationship as possible. I always find that really nice and pleasant. The food is good, not great. Across all the restaurants at the hotel. You're a little limited for options, you have the Windsong bar, Cafe Lazaar, IndoChine and Planter's (Lounge and Bar). I would normally just get breakfast in my room, since it was basically everything that you would have in the buffet but about 20% cheaper. The only real downside to the hotel is that it's a bit far away from the main part of the island, but even for that I'm not entirely sure if it really is a downside because the beach is better on the West side than it is on the East. So I guess that depends on what you're looking for.

チェックインの時に誰もカバンの面倒を見てくれず。チェックアウトの時も空港へタクシーを頼んだが、タクシーが時間通りに来ない。15分も追加で待たされた。 建物などの設備は仮設のようなホテルでした。

They only try to squeeze the clients

Posted 28-Nov-2014
Pros: Everything is perfect, except prices, services that are too relaxed, and the beach that is extremely bad, full of stones and corals, no way good.
Cons: Being more attent to the guests requests
Location: Location is far from everything, you feel captive and subject to the hotels overpricing
Apart from having to ask several times for a 2nd rack for the luggage, and on departure nobody took care of my call to quickly help me with the small cart they have to transfer luggage from the rooms, as they are pretty far, their exchange rate is 15% than the real one, and prices are over the normal. They overcharge so much, in contrast with the local prices, that is a real shame.

Hotel exceptionnel avec plage exceptionnelle

Posted 24-Nov-2014
Pros: personnel accueillant, situation unique

Not at all up to the expectations

Posted 09-Oct-2014
Pros: Restaurant Indochine (expensive but correct).
Cons: Everything: cleanliness, staff atention and skills, customer focus... The only thing which is at luxury level in this hotel is the price.
We went to Kempinski Seychelles Resort for two nights prior to our flight back home, after one week in Praslin. We booked through expedia 2 months in advance. We received the first communication from them via e-mail only when we had already landed in Mahe and we were in a taxi from the airport, telling us that they can organize our transfer from the airport if we advise them 24h in advance. We got to the reception and they took us to our room by buggy. The baggage did not arrive until 45 minutes after. In the meantime, we realised that we had asked for a King Size Bed and we had a room with two beds. After calling the reception, they sent a housekeeper who changed the mattress and converted the beds into a single King Size Bed. Outside the room we had two chairs, one deck chair (should we take turns or lay one on top of the other?) and a lot of cigarrette butts on the floor, plus a cigar butt only half consumed. We decided to stay inside the room... We had dinner in the Cafe Lazare. The waiter took more than 30 minutes to bring us two beers; we almost had finished the buffet dinner. And when asked for the bill, he took us the bill of another table. The day after, breakfast was not better. It took them also 20 min to bring us coffee. The final chapter of the nightmare was the 30 min wait in the morning for the receptionist to print a copy of the credit card bill. The money had already been debited, but she made us wait anyway. Awful hotel, never to return again.
