Rooms
The Casa de los Mercaderes has 47 air-conditioned guestrooms spread over two floors. All have light traditional decor featuring a floral motif that extends to the artwork, curtains, and bedding. The beds have either wrought iron or cherry wood frames. Furniture, such as bedside tables and wardrobes, is cherry wood. More modern amenities include satellite television, minibars, and safes. Marble bathrooms feature gilt-framed mirrors, Andalusian-style tiles, and complimentary toiletries.

“Great Trip - but wear comfy shoes!”
Great location for exploring Seville on foot - easy to access and easy access to all the major attractions. Room was cleaned to a high standard every day and although fixtures and fittings were dated they were all in good working order and reasonable condition. Reception staff extremely useful and can arrange flamenco shows etc... (avoiding the over the top tourist shows).
“Seville at New Year”
The hotel was ideally placed at the startbof a pedestrian area within 150 metres of the Cathedral. Easy access from the airport by taxi. All staff on reception were friendly and helpful. Pleasant atmosphere in the hotel was engendered. Simply and pleasantly furnished around a central courtyard with newspapers, local sherry and sweets available most days! Bedrooms varied in quality - a double room does nit necessarily equate with a double bed! So we changed rooms which became smaller and less air circulating naturally. No real complaints though as the room was well maintained daily.
“Central and reasonable”
The location of the hotel is good, everything is within easy reach. The only problem with the location is the fact that a lot of rooms have windows facing a street used for loading and unloading trucks, so evenings and mornings are noisy. Sound insulation in rooms is not great, not a good option if you like your morning lie-in or are a light sleeper.
“Great location”
Just back from 3 days in Seville, and this hotel suited our purpose. It is clean, we had a pleasant room with good sized bathroom. There is free internet access and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was always quiet. It is not a luxurious hotel if thats what you're after but it was clean and quiet. The best thing about the hotel is the location. It is in walking distance of all the main tourist attractions and very near fantastic bars and restaurants for evenings out. We opted for a room without breakfast and found local bars for a coffee and toastie each morning.
“Fantastic position”
Had a great stay. It is very convenient for the Cathedral and other sights, a couple of tiny supermarkets and a variety of cafes. Our first room was at the back and very gloomy. Asked to be moved and there was no problem. Moved to front of hotel on second floor. Not huge room but light and fine. Quite noisy at night. However, the staff were very nice and helpful and it was so well positioned. The room was cleaned well every day and for the price it was great.
“Nice location but not great value”
The good points: perfectly friendly staff and good location, a short walk to the key sights and easy to hail a taxi. Unfortunately the room smelt damp and was very noisy evening and morning as it was situated next to the large central reception area - particularly as the room window faced this area. Room was quite small and basic - a small double bed and very ordinary bathroom - though not cheap. Overall, clean and maintained, but a slight feeling of a lack of investment.
