“Excellent hotel, no problems”

Everything as it should be. Very neat guide to the cable channels, every hotel should have this.

“Very Comfortable Stay”

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. Very quiet, you could not hear other guests when in your room. All employees were very friendly even though we could not communicate with many of them. The desk employees spoke English which helped greatly. They set up a couple tours for us to Granada and Cordoba. Within walking distance of the Mall for shopping and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again if in Sevilla.

“Great hotel”

Really nice hotel just near Seville's main railway station. The great advantage is that it has a pool - a welcome end to a day's sightseeing in the heat. It's about a 20-minute walk to the cathedral and the old town but a taxi there costs only about 6 or 8 Euros and there's a taxi rank right outside. We've stayed there 4 times now and the staff are always very friendly. Breakfasts are very good and are cheaper if you book them on arrival rather than sign for them each day (saving 3 Euros per person per day). We've always gone into the old town for evening meals but there is a restaurant in the hotel. There's a small but perfectly adequate gym.

“Great hotel near train station”

We stayed in this hotel as it was handy for the main train station (just across the road) however it is a bit of trek into the centre of Seville. Decor is a bit out of date but comfort, size of room and service more than make up for this. Also do a really good buffet breakfast.

“Good all-rounder”

Fantastic hotel, not particularly central, but with easy bus access to the centre and conveniently right opposite the train station. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of hotel and service. Plenty of facilites, we made great use of the pool and there's agym. Staff are very helpful and can book any tours, restaurants etc.

“Business Class Hotel, convenient for weekend city leisure break”

This hotel is a 20 minute walk from the centre, but the walk is pleasant, flat and well served with bars. If driving to it, we would ideally recommend getting a routefinder print-out,or at least an accurate street plan.

“Very good hotel”

I'm happy to recommend this hotel. It's extremely handy being nearly opposite the train station (Santa Justa) so you can take the bus from the airport, get off at the train station (the bus is so cheap, EUR 2.30 I think as opposed to taxi EUR 23!!) and then you can walk to the hotel (less than 5 min). To get to the sightseeing part of Seville have to walk approx 15 min or maybe catch a bus, but the hotel was fab for me as I was travelling on to Cadiz with the train.

“Great hotel”

Positives, it has a pool and free WIFI. Some people might find it a bit of a trek to the centre, but we don't mind walking and we found lots of great bars along the way. Very clean and friendly and you avoid traffic when coming from the airport

“this is a Five Star hotel”

Can't say enough good things about it. Rooms, lobby, restaurant are beautiful and the staff is helpful and courteous. The only downside is that it is not within walking distance of "downtown" Seville. It is not a problem though as taxis are right at the door at all times. This is not really an added expense if you consider the cab fare is only (around) 5 Euros. Considering the quality of the hotel and what you would pay for a closer place the Occidental is really a fabulous deal.

“Loved our stay here”

We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was in easy reach by walking 15 mins or so and we loved not being right in the centre as it was so much quieter. The Saturday evening was such a wash-out with torrential rain that we ate in the hotel cafe. Our meal was exceptional, the best the whole weekend, and it turned into a lovely evening. If we go back to Seville, which was lovely, we will certainly stay here again.
