Very friendly and excellent service in this lovely B&B in the countryside. Fantastic breakfast, nice and very large bedroom with en-suite. Lovely family who catered for our late arrival time. Would recommend, and certainly come again. Was visiting for a friends wedding in the area and this B&B offered the best value for money that I saw in the area.
This was my first visit to Kent and I came on a business trip. My hotel requirements are: a clean and comfortable room, a bar and restaurant, and a fitness room. The room was small, but otherwise fine. The bar had a choice of three draft beers and virtually anything else you could want. There's a pub within walking distance (The Crown and Rose -or vice versa). If I return, I'll check it out. The restaurant was exceptional. I ate there four nights and wasn't disappointed. The "catch of the day" featured local fresh fish (Halibut and sea bass when I was there). The breakfast buffet was also good. Tips were included if you charge to your room. I wish they had told me. The fitness room is a converted squash court. The equipment was worn and dated. It lacked cardio equipment. A treadmill or recumbent bike would have boon nice. I went for morning walks. The sidewalks are rather narrow, but it's in an interesting village.

This is an old hotel and could do with a lick of paint in places. We chose it for its excellent location and proximity to the Stag theatre. Our room was small and cosy and fine for one night. Worst aspects were thin walls and no hot water in the morning. We were kept awake by someone snoring and woken early by what sounded like furniture being moved above us.
I feel hotels should do as they do in the US and deduct a small amount from the bill for inconvenience.
