“Great Place”

Big clean room with nice kitchen. Great place if you are here for a longer stay. Very close to Metro. Helpful staff. Would return anytime/.

“Good but....”

We stayed there 3 weeks and the room service was good, the room are very clean and provide good service. Altough they don't have WI-FI and some furniture in our room were broken or in bad shape. Also trouble at check-in when early arrival and not very friendly service. Other then that it was very good. The location is fantastic and it is possible to have a nice view with all those big windows. We took the superior B room and it was big enough. It's just not really like in the picture, but for long stay it was very good.

Area recommendations

I would recommend walking around the small street near Doksugung Palace, were you have the Museumof Arts and near City HAll. You can also go up to Gwangwhamun (10 minutes from hotel) and go to Jongno Street, or see the staut of King Sejong. Everything is 10 minutes walk.

When to go

I recommend going in the fall (september-october) it's always very sunny, not too humid and the temperature are perfect to visit palaces and temples. To see the maple leaves changing colors is also very beautiful!

“very convenient and a very good value”

This hotel is very well located. The airport bus #6005 drops off right around the corner and picks up right in front for a very reasonable 10,000 won fee (one-way). There is a subway stop at the corner, and quite a few points of interest are within walking distance. The price was very reasonable, especially for a large room wtih kitchen facilities. Helpful staff, and a 7-Eleven in the building was handy. It is not fancy, but modern and very clean. The surrounding area has many restaurants. I was very happy with my choice.

Area recommendations

I did a lot of walking around, and I would recommend staying in the downtown area. The major palaces and markets are there or easily accessible. Gyeongbokgung Palace was my favorite, and I liked Insa-Dong best for shopping because of the good selection of handicrafts. There are many shopping areas, but Insa-Dong has things not available in any big city - why shop in Seoul for things I can get in Chicago!.

“Great first time in Seoul”

We originally booked the standard twin but had a very big and huge apartment (unsure if we had been upgraded or not) but it was definitely a treat. The apartment suite was very clean and we had no complaints. If you're looking for authentic Korean there are streets nearby with plenty to eat. Not a great deal of English but if you're willing to be adventurous, give anything a go then there's plenty of food to try. The hotel location was perfect! Few minuters to a subway stop - their subway network is easy to navigate. But it's also only a 10mins walk from the hustle and bustle of City Hall (near palace and city tour bus stop). From there it's only a short walk to the Myeong Dong area for shopping as well. And if you get stuck - taxis are very cheap. Just take a hotel business card and it's smooth sailing with any driver. The Airport bus also stops directly in front of the hotel. Too easy and lots to see and do!

“Great location”

Hotel is conveniently located to subway lines, bus lines and city hall area of seoul. Staff was very helpful. English is not a problem. The airport bus stops right outside the hotel every 30 minutes and takes approximately 1 hour to get to the airport. We reserved a 1 bedroom unit which was extremely roomy/comfortable, and having the kitchen, washer/dryer in the unit is a definite plus. We only wish there was a pool on property. We would definitely recommend this property to others traveling to Seoul and would stay there again.

“inconvenience for shopping and bathroom problem”

The bathroom is big but not comfrotable .The bath tap water so slow and cannot control hot and cold temper of water.they should have water cooler outside room for drink. The Internet inroom is unavialable if you need to working by sent message from your labtop we have suggest you must use the other hotel.

if you want more shopping and convenience for stay we suggest Ibis ambassador myeong dong near ejuro 1 station.

“Comfortable, Convenient”

Room is spare but comfortable. TV, Large fridge, washing machine and desk. There is a 7-11 convenience store on the ground floor along with a Korean restaurant - the building also includes an Outback steakhouse on the 2nd floor. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Immediate location is quite boring, but the #5 metro is located close by. Grab a location card from reception for help with taxis. There are three Vabien Suite building all located close to one another.

“It's OK, but...”

Surrounding neighborhood has places to eat, but you gotta know the language. No menus in english. Outback is in the hotel, but... Location is right on the airport bus route, very convenient (last stop).

“great deal”

This is not really a hotel, it is a short-term residence so it was relatively large with a kitchen, full-size refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and even a combination washer/dryer. The price was phenomenal for what was offered. The Vabien Suites is just outside the subway exit at Seodaemun. Take exit 6 and follow the street corner left around the building under construction. The Vabien is just around the corner. Very close and very easy to find. All other sites in downtown Seoul are close to the hotel via subway. The Seoul subway is simple to use with English instructions everywhere.

Getting around

Don't be afraid of the subways. They are pretty easy to use with English everywhere. When you buy your ticket, you'll pay the fare plus a deposit of 500 krw. When you reach your destination, look for the deposit reimbursement machine, input your ticket and get your deposit back.
