“Center of Seoul”

Marriot courtyard is a first class hotel in a first class location, Warm and friendly staff make for a very pleasant stay, within times square there are numerous cafe,s, bars and restraunts, serving a full range of excellent cuisine. If shopping is your thing there are plenty of well recognised international outlets plus the underground market which sells most things. Across the road from the bank is a down town area renouned locally for its excellent bars and eateries, the hospitality is tremendous. A big plus is the fact that during my stay I never once felt threatened or intimidated the Korean people are very welcoming and helpful. I rate this trip a 5 star experience.

“Great hotel for American's first trip to Korea”

I spent two nights in this hotel, the first and last night of my 7-day trip. The majority of my trip was in Andong, several hours away from Seoul so this hotel was a stepping stone between the airport and my journey to smaller city of Andong. It was a last-minute trip for me, and I have no experience in the Korean language or customs. The Courtyard by Marriott feels almost identical to an American hotel which made the travelling a little easier. It was very clean and nicely appointed. The staff all spoke English and were both helpful and very polite. While it would be hard to get a true flavor of Korea without venturing out and exploring, it was nice be able to retreat to a more familiar environment. I ate 1 meal at the hotel and I wouldn't recommend it. The price was expensive and the quality sub-par. You'll find much better food either on the street in one of the many restaurants in the are or even in the large mall located next to the hotel. This is the only honest criticism that I can offer, otherwise the hotel was really great. If you find yourself suddenly in Korea with little preparation, this hotel provides a very pleasant oasis to ask for help, directions, tips, etc. in a pleasant, comfortable environment.

Getting there
International Taxi operates a fixed rate service to/from the hotel. I didn't use their service getting from Incheon airport to the hotel, but chose to use it to get back to the airport. The price was reasonable (around 55,000 won/ $50) and it was very convenient. If traveling by train, Yeongdeungpo station is very close to the hotel, though I found it to b a little tricky to navigate with heavy luggage (big suitcase and 50lbs. toolbag). I arrived back in Seoul by the KTX bullet train from Andong (via Daegu) and entered Seoul Station. Since I was lugging around heavy bags, I took a cab from Seoul Station and it took about 20 minutes and cost around $20.

“Gaf”

For my business pourpose the hotel was in a good location. Compared to other hotels in Korea, rooms were a good size

Depends on where your business is located. I like Iraewon and you can get a sbwau wjerever you go.

“I DID'NT WANT TO LEAVE.”

I CAN'T PUT IT IN WORDS. I WENT TO A WEDDING THERE, MY SON GOT MARRED.. BUT EVERYHING YOU NEED AND WANT IS RIGHT THERE YOU DON'T NEED TO LEAVE THE BUILDING. I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!!

“Extremely Satisfied stay !! You'll love it !”

Very nice hotel , this is not like our typical Marriott Courtyard in US. This is more like an hotel such as Marriott, Sheraton class. 4 star hotel. All of the front desk are speaking perfect English, young and very helpful. The hotel connected to the Mall, easy to find food. I will come back to this hotel again.

“Great hotel”

While we only stayed one night at this hotel, we were overall very happy with our stay. The room was very nice and the service was great. I definitely recommend adding the breakfast on to your room when you book...the choices of food and quality was amazing. It would have been about 3 times as much to pay for the breakfast if we hadn't added it on to our room. Bed was really comfortable and everyone was very nice.

“I loved this hotel!”

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Nice architecture as well. The location was perfect! Right next to a mall and about a two minute walk underground for the subway! There's also tons of restaurants and food vendors in walking distance :D My boyfriend and I would stay here again.

“Nice Hotel for the money I paid.”

The temperature in the our room was little to high 25 C and they could set to lower temperature; however, they provided an electric fan.

Area recommendations
Jamsil or Coex which are close to Seohon lake, theather. amousment parks, and shopping mall.

“Nice hotel”

Close to shopping and subway. Hotel staff all speak excellent English. The door man told us we had been overcharged by the taxi driver and then got us a refund from the taxi driver for the over charge. My wife was sold on this hotel at that point. I'm sure we will be back in the future. Always tack the executive or concierge room when offered.
