“Friendly but expensive”

The friendliness of staff could not be faulted, but they seem keen to get the most out of you. It is not the cheapest of hotels, but we were charged for full scottish cooked breakfast when we only had juice, fruit,coffee and toast. Additionally the restaurant menu was only priced with the cost of a typical 3 course dinner. There was no pricing of individual dishes or specials. We only discovered the cost when we checked out. We used the hotel as a base for local sightseeing, and from that point of view it was fine. Next time, I suspect we shall look elsewhere.
