Worst car park we have ever encountered

Posted 24-Mar-2015
Pros: Centre city location Staff were friendly and helpful
Cons: Rooms are tired Bathroom needs modernising Car Park!!!
Location: Good location for shopping, sight seeing and restaurants - La Couronne highly recommended
This hotel was almost impossible to locate by map or sat av - the hotel road signs need upgrading The entrance was challenging to say the least but trying to get a 4WD down to the parking spaces without damaging the wheels was not possible

Nice hotel in the middle of the town

Posted 11-Feb-2015
Arriving at the hotel was a unique experience being that it is smack in the middle of the town. It took us a few tries to find it but it was worth it. You can't even tell its a hotel from the outside because it blends in with the quaint town. The inside is clean with a tranquil ambiance, the staff were friendly and welcoming too. The location of the hotel is very convenient because sightseeing spots are of walking distance.

bien placé;dur d'acces

Posted 16-Jan-2015 on Hotels.com

Perfect position. If you can find it.

Posted 14-Dec-2014 on Hotels.com
Absolutely fine. Nothing to gripe about. Great position 20m from the cathedral square. Would have been a nightmare to find without bang up to date sat nav. Rouen's archaic one-way system means there is one narrow way in and one narrow way out and they are not the same. Not the hotel's fault but we would never have found it on our own. Parking rather expensive but then it is where it is. Room comfy and well equipped, even had tea making facilities but only one decaf sachet and 3 fruit tea sachets for a double room. Wi-fi reliable and fast. Staff helpful and English speaking if needed. No restaurant only breakfast & room service available. Had neither so can't comment. Overall its position gets it marked higher than it otherwise would be.

Great stay in Rouen around Christmas time.

Posted 12-Dec-2014 on Hotels.com
The best location to Stay in Rouen. Just one block from Notre Dame Cathedral and large square in front of church has outdoor Christmas market going on with a bout 100 booths of all kinds of food and decorations and gifts. Many shops and restaurants within short walking distance. 2 hour drive to Normandy coast from this location. If driving with a GPS the directions will probably take you to a street 2 blocks away that is restricted access and has steel pole in middle of the street that you need to hit button on call box and ask for access and hope someone hears you. The better option is to come from the North side off Rue Jean LeCanuet and come down small street called Rue Des Arsinis until you get to hotel and then make right and underground parking garage in on left. Check it out on Google maps before you attempt the drive. We spent an hour trying to follow GPS until I got out 2 blocks away and walked to hotel and they gave me a marked up make on how to come in the from the north side. Hotel is very nice but I would skip the breakfast and try the local restaraunts. There is even a McDonalds a short 5 minute walk away if you want a quick breakfast. Also remember in France no one brings you the check at restaurants unless you ask for it. So if you are in a hurry ask early.
