Very comfortable hotel

Posted 16-Jul-2014
Pros: The breakfast was very good and well staffed to keep guests supplied with food and coffee. Really good croissants.
Cons: A safe in the room would be nice. Also a non-slip bath mat.
Location: Besides the cathedral, there is the Musee de Beaux Arts and the Ceramics Museum. The Church of St. Maclou is very pretty. All are within an easy walk
The hotel is located a short distance from the Cathedral. It is within easy walking distance from just about anywhere you'd want to go for sightseeing in Rouen. The hotel is hard to get to if you have a car. The room is relatively large for France, with a big double desk suitable for two people. The bed was comfortable, the closet space above average, the bathroom was larger than average, with a shower over a bathtub. The bathtub is a little slippery when showering.

Great location

Posted 08-Jul-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Air conditioning could be more effecient
Location: There is so much, just pick up a tourist leaflet
Reception staff very helpful, sending explicit instructions for the route to the hotel. Underground car park is tight, be warned if you have a rear bike rack. Room was pleasant, ours was at the front on the third floor. Air conditioning was hopeless, so we opened the windows the only problem was the noise from revellers that resonates up through the narrow street.

Nice little hotel in a great location close to the cathedral and city center. Easy walking distance to local sights. Clean, stylish rooms and very friendly staff. Underground, secure parking a plus.

Great Location- Walk to everything

Posted 06-May-2014
Pros: Staff were very helpful and it was located right by the Cathedral, walking distance to Old Market.
Cons: Bed was very very firm ( hard) but that is preferable than soft
Location: Very easy to walk around the City.
If you are driving the hotel is impossible to find. It is off teeny little streets. But the hotel staff was great when I called and stayed on the phone line to help me navigate. Parking in their garage was not too expensive. Although like the streets very narrow and steep.

Excellent hotel in good place.

The hotel is located in super place near Opera, Madlen, La Fayette and other points of interest. Staff is not a competent, don't explain road to hotel. Room is clean, sufficient spacious.

Impossible to find

Posted 28-Apr-2014
Pros: Cleanliness of room, friendliness of staff.
Cons: They can't change the location but they can make the air conditioning work.
Location: Right in heart of old town if you can find it.
Took two hours to find. Drove on pedestrian street finally! Certainly is in the heart of old town and very clean but in an impossible location. Air conditioning never did turn on. Parking in underground garage was a nightmare!

Hotel needs refresh, staff an attitude adjustment.

Posted 26-Apr-2014
Pros: The location.
Cons: Where do I begin.
Location: Wonderful.
Staff were put out that we existed. They would prefer that a ghost left a credit card imprint.

Great hotel, incredible location; far too noisy.

Posted 22-Dec-2013
Difficult to find, unless you have the right Sat Nav co-ordinates (Rue des Arsins!). Fantastic staff, amazing location right next to cathedral. However, the noise from outside was non-stop; roaring, shouting and screaming. It seems that the local alkies hang around in the wee graveyard of the cathedral, and they do not get moved on. This is obviously not the hotel's fault, so I feel as marking them down, but it really does take away from the experience. A real shame. Hopeful it was a one off; we were only there for one night. Otherwise it's all good: the car park is right underneath the hotel, which is great considering the obvious scarcity of parking in Central Rouen, which is very pedestrianised (and quite rightly so), the reception staff are lovely, and our room was fab.
