This small hotel has a unique layout in four separate traditional Normandy buildings situated in a small, grassy park. The staff were very helpful. The dining options in Jumieges which were all 3 minutes walk away suit every palate and price point. We especially recommend La Petite Flamme and l'Auberge des Ruines for fine cuisine and a superb wine list and cheese board.

Disappointing Stay
Lovely location and very nice room given for our second night when we were moved rooms. However first room had a grubby bathroom and boiler fumes came into our room at night due to the boiler room chimney being in line with our open window. Tried to sort refund for first night but this was refused

Dear Ms Barrow, thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear about the issue during your stay. You made a booking through Expedia/Hotels.com and made the payment in full for a non refundable, non cancellable stay. Our director, offered to move you in a different room category (superior suite) with no add cost when she heard of the boiler issue. You accepted and enjoyed your 2nd night away from the issue from the boiler room (which does not make fumes as a hotel we are bound by the law to have it checked and fully functionnal). As you booked through Hotels.com, the breakfast was not inc, which you were aware off when you received the booking confirmation, it's the same with local tax. We tried to invited you to contact the agency or go on the website where you made the booking to sort out the payment issue. But bearing in mind that we have allocated a different room upon your arrival if you did not feel confortable in the room we gave you. We already made a commercial around 150 euros when you refused to settle your extras and were to leave the hotel without paying. This is equivalant to the price of the room you paid. Also, you mention that we did not agree for a refund of the 1st night, which is correct because we offered for you to amend your booking for 1 night instead of 2 and we would have refunded the 2nd night as promised.Any further information or request, please do nto hesitate to contact me personally.

Great place
Quiet hotel with all options you could ask for. Very friendly and attentive staff. Great location for cycling. We had a somewhat smaller room that didn't have a nice view but we only stayed two not. For longer stays I'd recommend upgrading to a room with a patio. It'll be worth it if the weather is good.

Okay experience but would not worth it
Overall not a bad experience, probably not worth the time or money I would say. The area around the pool is very small, limited to 10 people we were told due to covid and for one hour, though people would stay for more than one hour without being told to leave. So not very convenient, plus you have to pay for access to the steam room/sauna/jacuzzi i dont see why. You normally pay for spa treatments, not to use a sauna. Makes little sense. I would not go back there, nothing to write home about.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. In this current situation we have to take safety measures for our staff and customers, we're sorry you did not manage to get more pool time and the Spa is a separate service, which is why there is a fee for it. We're always trying to improve and we'll take your comments onboard. Once again thank you for choosing us.

Delightful gem of a hotel.
Great property under new ownership in difficult times. Would certainly return as it's a great location for weekends away, only 2.5 hours drive from Calais. Great, walkable local restaurants, so don't worry about hotel being only B+B. Would like to see better mattresses coming as part of new owner's improvements. Worth paying extra for larger family rooms on Ground Floor as they have a small terrace.

Property was very nice in a beautiful village outside Roeun.Easy drive to town albeit 25 to 30 minutes. Also good spot for day trip by car to Normandy Beaches. The staff was very friendly and recommended a charming restaurant for dinner within walking distance. Very clean and comfortable bed. Our bed was upstairs in a nice loft however toilet is downstairs which may not appeal to older couples. I would stay there again !

Great stay
We got a chance to stay in the Fez room and we were pleasantly surprised by the nice moroccan themed interior. The room was large and clean with a Jacuzzi. We loved that there was a small terrace that was available for us to relax. We had a good sleep. They were very accommodating and we had an enjoyable time at the hotel. The breakfast spread was great and we were always warmly greeted.

Quaint hotel with friendly owners.
Hotel was somewhat overpriced in my opinion and I feel for the £200 a night they could have thrown in breakfast as well. Horrible showers that don't hold themselves up and end up soaking the entire bathroom.

Fabulous room - beautifully and exquisitely decorated (although the lack of ensuite door - just a screen - bothered my husband!). Slight negative was the lack of facility for making a coffee in the room, but there was a mini bar, if wanted. Overnight stopover only so didn't see much of locality. No restaurant in the hotel but some eateries were close by.

Bijoux hotel in a beautiful area of Normandy
The room was spacious and comfortable, the staff welcoming and friendly, the pool looked lovely although I didn't have time to use it. My only criticism was that there wasn't a proper shower cubicle and the water went all over the bathroom floor and didn't dry or drain away which was unpleasant when I wanted to use the bathroom subsequently

Short stay in Jumieges.
We stayed for two nights, visiting the Abbey, walking around the area and eating in local restaurants in the evening. It's a pleasant rural area, the Abbey ruin is imposing.

pretty country location
Situated in a very pleasant area of the Lower Seine Valley in an old orchard. It was built in 2005 but seemed not to have had any maintenance done since. The toilet flush had a problem which the receptionist knew about but did nothing. The bathroom was a wet room with a very uneven pebble floor which resulted in puddles of water everywhere. The washbasin was also cracked.

Overpriced and not what I thought I had booked
Very disappointed, I had booked a junior suite and got a poky small room. We only had one pillow each which was soft. There were hardly any restaurants open. This hotel is not suitable for families. I took my son to the spa for a steam and swim to be confronted by a couple naked in the sauna. This hotel should not let families stay here.

Very rude manager!
The hotel itself was very beautiful and room was lovely. It has nice swimming pool and spa, also sauna which was nice. My room was supposed to have free wifi which was the main reason of my booking as I needed it for my work as I work for myself. The wifi did not work, so I went to the receptionist to ask her to look into it. She did look into it but she could not do much so she went to her manager. The manager did not really bother to do anything about it, I went to receptionist again in the next morning to inform her that wifi did not work at all. The manager was surprising so rude, she did not even apologise for this or offered something to make up for this. As it is an expensive hotel, I expected that they would try something. The manager was so rude and had bad attitude toward me. She was also quite aggressive as well which shocked me, I decided that I would not pay extra for breakfast and left a bit early. Very disappointed despite how beautiful the hotel is and the village is lovely as well.

Overnight stay en route to calais
When we arrived we were acknowledged rather than welcomed but we weren't checked in ie. confirmation of T&Cs and check out times, etc. We were told breakfast was in the lounge from 7.30am. Unfortunately we didn't realise breakfast wasn't included, in our bill, which led to difficulties on check-out. On being taken to our room we were asked fairly curtly to keep the noise down as our next door neighbours were an elderly couple. Our 5yr old son and 9yr old daughter were excited at being in the hotel but were not making a racket. So not really child friendly then...! The management clearly didn't have the wit to check a young family into a room away from guests who object to a bit of regular hotel noise and traffic - instead we were made to feel like we weren't welcome! Then came check out: we were asked to pay for breakfast, which at €50 euros for two adults and 2 small children was a shock, especially as we thought it was included and there was no price information on the table or in our room. As we hadn't been checked-in properly I suggested we split the difference. The young manager was unhappy about this reiterating we'd all had b'fast - despite the fact my son had only had a glass of milk and tiny pastry and my partner had only had a pot of tea. the manager finally agreed to splitting the bill but it was a very uncomfortable conversation. FYI - You can't eat dinner in the hotel, there's no tea and coffee in the room., just a small fridge with mini-bar contents.

Very French hotel in lovely historic location
Lovely hotel but our stay was marred by teenagers using the pool until 4AM. There seemed to be no hotel management to stop them. The room and facilities were comfortable and clean. The TV could only be used for French channels. The breakfast was good, but at 15 euros a bit over priced. There was no restaurant in the evening (Saturday).

Great hotel with pool close to the Seine.
Ideal stopover on our way from the Loire towards the pas de Calais area. Good location with excellent customer service. Comfortable room with Japanese themed decor. Outdoor pool was warm and great after our journey followed by a drink and nuts by the poolside. Towels and bathrobes provided for use by the pool. All toiletries including manicure and vanity kit provided. Within 15/20 mins walk to a fantastic restaurant Auberge du Bac by side of the Seine which hotel staff arranged for us. Close to Jumieges Abbaye ruins and good choice of walks nearby. Excellent choice at buffet breakfast more than the usual cafe and croissant. Hope to return soon and thoroughly recommend.

beautiful buildings and lovely room, okay overall
We only stayed for one night on our way to Saumur. The room was lovely, with a nice en suite and a huge comfortable bed, although could have done with a mirror on the dresser and maybe a rug or two for the cold floor tiles in winter. The pool looked lovely although we weren't going to try it in Nov :) and we weren't told anything about the Spa. The restaurant recommendation was also very over priced and not very 'gastronomique!' We were also accidently upgraded without our knowledge and then the hotel tried to charge us for this-luckily we noticed.
