I won't stay here ever again

This hotel must have serious security problems - There is a six foot fence all around with steel wires sticking up at the top so intruders can't climb over. Every room has steel shutters on the outside that you have to wind down when you are inside or people walking by get a perfect view of inside. Many of the doors seemed to be battered around the bottom. Because we didn't want to eat in their restaurant (we are vegetarian and the only two things they could prepare was a plate full of beans and peas, or plain pasta with cheese - no sauce , just cheese) - so we asked if there were other restaurants and were told that the nearest was 20 km away in Rouen! This was blatantly untrue. We went into the local town (4km away) and found three Chinese, a (very good) Moroccan, a Creperie, and a brilliant Pizza restaurant - plus numerous cafes and hotels and, indeed other resteraunts. The rooms were clean but, although it was very inexpensive I don't think it was worth it and I would NEVER stay here again.

Cons: re-build the hotel and fit smoke alarms in all rooms The price of the stay was 30% more than the value received
the room had been occupied by a smoker and we spent over one hour with the door open to try and clear this. The free wi- fi did not work and the evening meal whilst having a good buffet had a poor choice and qualaty of main courses

Clean rooms, not ro keen on the wind up shutters on the windows, ours was broken so no day light inthe room. Got a 15 euro reduction. Staff and food good.

Decent Hotel for Business

I have tried several hotels in this area since I've been there multiple times for business. The Campanile has been very consistent with service and the rooms. The rooms are not overly spacious by US standards, but normal for Europe and are clean and comfortable. There does tend to be some road noise and if the neighbors are loud you will hear them from time to time. Their is typically at lease one staff person on hand who speaks some English so that is a nice addition. The restaurant is reasonably priced and the food is generally good.

Basic hotel in an area we needed. Wouldn't stay for a holiday, but just right for an overnight stay. Good breakfast and dinner. Bathroom a bit dated but not bad.

No hand towels for washing hands only shower towels. No soap. No milk for the tea or coffee making. We complained to the manager who told us that it was company policy not to put these items in the rooms.On the plus side I have to say the restrurant was very good.

Situation on edge of housing estate, accommodation cramped, basic but clean. No other restaurants in walking distance so no other choice. In my opinion, poor value for money for room and particularly for restaurant. I complained to the waiter then to the manager on the size of the portions and the time it took to replace them. The manager said it was what they were supplied with by the company to give us and took no responsibility himself. Left early next morning & went somewhere else for breakfast.
