“great service and location”

We stayed 3 nights and it was a very pleasant experience. The extra bonus- breakfast- was a nice addition. I would recommend my friends to stay there.

“Gorgeous views, nice little motel”

Our family booked several rooms in the Days Inn Kokopelli while visiting Sedona for the holiday. Some rooms were more updated than others, but all were comfy and clean. The continental breakfast was standard motel fare made more pleasant by the very friendly breakfast attendant. The views from our rooms were spectacular. We will stay here again.

“Would go back next time”

When we checked in, we were asked whether we preferred 1st or 2nd floor, chose 1st for convenience, then discovered that 2nd had better views--no problem changing because rooms were available. Any problems were quickly taken care of by friendly front desk. Breakfast had plenty of choices in a nice room, again with a friendly breakfast person always available. Fine internet access and great location at a reasonable price for the area and date. Several carry-out meal and shopping options within walking distance.

Oak Creek Village--attached to Sedona, but not overpriced.

“Ok place to stay for a night or 2.”

The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The refrigerator was a nice to have. The door to the room did not close properly and there were leaves on the rug that were never vacumed up during our 2 night stay. The bathroom was clean and the hotel is attempting to go greeen.

“You get what you pay for”

My room was very stuffy and had strange oder.....I had to open the door because the window does not open. For the most part this hotel is in a good location for the money..............but it is true you get what you pay for. The continental breakfast was nice.

“Great Vacation! Beautiful area!.”

The Kokopelli Hotel is now a Days Inn. Our room was on the second floor and had a lovely view of the surrounding area. The room was not fancy but was clean, quiet, and beds comfortable. The staff was very helpful. Continental breakfast was good, waffles, hard boiled eggs, cereal, bagels, muffins, oatmeal, juice, apples, and coffee. Nothing fancy, but always fresh and breakfast room was clean and cheery.

Getting there

Our flight between Flagstaff and Phoenix was very rough. Next time I would fly into Phoenix and drive to Sedona.

Getting around

If you rent a car from Hertz, be sure and tell them if you are a AAA member, A second driver can be added without charge.

Dining

We would recommend the following restaurants in Sedona and Oak Creek Village, The Barking Frog, Cocina Rustica, and The Secret Garden. If you are in Willaims, be sure to stop at the Pine Country Restaurant, the food is amazing, especially their omelettes and fresh fruit.

Other

Our first stop when arriving in Sedona was the Chamber of Commerce. The woman who helped us was fantastic. She gave us so much information and patiently answered all of our questions. Sedona is an incredibly beautiful place!

“it is a decent place to stay”

The bedding was clean but the floor carpet was dirty. The breakfast was OK. The view of the room were nice. But the price of a room was expensive for this level of inn.

“Wendy”

First off, the motel (and it is a motel...don't let anyone tell you differently) is no longer the Kokopelli Inn. It has been taken over by Days Inn. This motel has been in existence for at least 10 years. I stayed here about 8 years ago with a boyfriend and the rooms were pretty dated THEN. Nothing about the place has changed. There have been no rennovations or upgrades. The rooms are okay. Ours was clean, at least, but the decor and just the rooms in general are in some serious need of updating. What was encouraging was that there was always a maintenance guy on site. Nothing in the room was broken, per se and the staff seemed pretty friendly. I wouldn't recommend this motel for two reasons: It's old and you have to drive quite a distance to get to Sedona.

Area recommendations

If you can get a room in Sedona proper I recommend that over driving the 20 minutes from Oak Creek.
