We took a chance and booked this hotel using the "unpublished rate" for the first time. What an excellent choice. We were a little nervous. The price we got was pretty low, and though the main lobby of the hotel was beautiful- the exterior of the building where our room was located looked outdated. But the interior of the room was fantastic! We were given a room with a jacuzzi (bonus!). The room was spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The amenities were nice. WiFi was free- this always scores points in my book. We ordered room service for breakfast, and it was delicious. Our entire experience at the Poco Diablo was positive. We will definitely look to return. Oh- great location too. :)
We stayed at the Desert Quail Inn for only one night as we used Sedona as a stop over to break up a long drive on our recent USA road trip. What a shame! Sedona is beautiful, I so wish we had longer to stay there.
Desert Quail Inn was a nice place to rest for the one night, very clean and comfortable and the rooms were spacious and well equipped with all we could need. A little way out of down town Sedona, but don't let that put you off, it is in a beautiful location, with lots of shops and restaurants very close by. Down town Sedona was only 10 minutes away by car. Surrounded by beautiful scenery, what a lovely sunset and sunrise greeted us.
The owner is exceptionally friendly and helpful. He really is a credit to his business. He recommended a wonderful restaurant near by and, as it was often busy, he went out of his way to phone ahead and and make a reservation for us. He seems really knowledgeable about the local area and I am sure, had we had more time to explore Sedona, we would have made use of his expertise.
Sedona is truly beautiful and we plan to visit again and will definitely stay at the Desert Quail Inn. For price, standard and quality of service it would be hard to beat.

The hotel has a direct view of Bell Rock, with two places for sitting and enjoying the view of the rock formations. We were very happy with the comfort of the hotel and how close it was to the main part if Sedona. We will definetely stay at the hotel when we return next year.
We started our stay with a personal tour given by the newest "Inn Keeper." She took great pride in showing us all the wonderful amenities, like the labirynth & medicine wheel, the reading room & breakfast room, & in introducing us to the chefs in the open kitchen. She also served us our wonderful breakfast in the morning, which was prepared from organic foods. Our room was the Moon Flower suite, which was delightful, with a fireplace, leather chairs, & wooden shuttered windows with an excellent view of teapot peak. The room had its own wooden deck where we sat to enjoy evening drinks. We walked the stone paths to find the hidden statues, & enjoyed the gardens & decks. It was a very renewing experience for us.

With some hotels, you rate it based on size of room, bath room, facilities, etc. With this hotel, it is all about the view. The rooms have a sliding glass door onto a balcony that is right above Oak Creek. Rising above Oak Creek and the surrounding woods are the majestic rock formations of Sedona. The hotel is right in the middle of Sedona with access to shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. However, the rooms are sheltered from the highway and very quiet, so you have the feeling that you are not really in town. If you want a modern, luxury hotel, this isn't it. But, if you want a quaint hotel with clean rooms and a fantastic view in a great location you will be happy at Cedars Resort.
I'm so impressed with that hotel and I satisfied with their service
good breakfast, neat organized clean room, friendly staffs... everything is good
except little bit far from Sedona and little noisy environment, but hotel itself is excellent.
