“Quiet and relaxing”

I loved staying at the Adobe Hacienda. The hosts were friendly and warm. The decorations were top notch, as was the food. Can't wait to go back. I"m already planning our next visit to the Adobe Hacienda.

“Wonderful place!”

This was my first time having a vacation in Sedona, in fact it was my first time in that part of the country. I had a a wonderful time and staying at Adobe Hacienda was a big part of that experience. Nice hosts who knew the answers to any area info that you wanted to know and the breakfasts were just incredible. Would recommend the place to anybody staying in Sedona.

Anywhere...Sedona is not all that large and you can tailor your trip to what your interests are pretty easily

“Ara”

Very nice hotel. Great room, just like it was pictured in the web site. Only two complaints: 8:30 AM for breakfast is really pretty military when you are going to a romantic getaway, though this seems to be the unwritten custom all over Sedona, and, second, the location of the hotel, right next to a golf course, does not provide the most romantic views that one could wish. On a relative scale, though, this seems to be one of the top few hotels in the area.

Area recommendations

All of Sedona is very nice, especially if you like to hike. West Sedona seems to be less touristy. We were also told (after the trip, thank you :-), that the nearby town of Jerome, AZ, is where most of the locals live. Might check it out on our next trip.

Shopping

Many of the places pack tourist-quality merchandise. If you are out for some serious shopping, the places to go are: Kachina House, in W. Sedona, Tlequapaque, Garland's, and the Sedona Arts Center, at the end of Uptown. Be prepared for serious mark-up at most of these locations.

Dining

Not too many fancy restaurants in Sedona... Yelp was a good guide, we found. However, don't expect anything better than 3 stars (by big-city standards). On the other hand, there must be some good quality, local, comfort-food places. But we never found them or (more accurately) looked for them.
