Great staff

When I checked in, I found that something between me and the hotel's system had screwed up my name on the reservation. The staff kept digging until they figured it out.

Nice weekend getaway.

Posted 26-Aug-2014
Pros: Hotel's proximity to the city.
Cons: Internet access should be free.
Location: Easy walk to Pike Place Market and waterfront.
My husband and I stayed at the W for our 1-year Anniversary. Extremely comfortable hotel right in the center of the city. Had an excellent meal in the sushi bar.

Decent hotel-but no parking

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Cons: More parking
I like the W hotel, but this time there was no parking available. I had to park in a different garage and had to drag a bunch of luggage down the street. I was told their lot was full and I would have to find another place to park. Then I didn't get any help with my bags and had to wait 15 min just to check in. Otherwise the room was nice and the bar/restaurant were fabulous.

Good location to airport light rail in town

Posted 18-Aug-2014
Good location for walking to most tourist activities but in an more quite area. Older property in need of a refresh. Had some towels that were quite worn. Value was good in comparison to other hotels. A little crazy to have to pay $14.95 per day for wifi.

Great location for weekend at Seattle

Posted 05-Aug-2014
Pros: Its location and room condition.
Cons: See above description of my experience.
Location: We went to Pier 59 and Pike Market Place multiple times, really enjoyed.
The address about this hotel location is misleading; if you rent a car to go hotel, it is almost impossible for you to find the front door easily. Its front door is mainly used for the purpose of its restaurant and bar. The actual access for customer to take luggage and check in the hotel is actually on the side street, Seneca Street. The daily parking is $54.99 per day. My experience is that if you only want to visit and spend time in areas surrounding Pike Market Place and Pier 59, this hotel is a very good choice. You really don't need a car and pay expensive parking in this hotel if you choose to spend most of your time in this area, in which public parking in general is very expensive and not easy to find. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a dedicated iPad with print by the concierge desk for you to do online check-in and print out your board pass.

Room without a view or king size bed

Posted 04-Aug-2014
Hotel looks out to a parking garage. There is no way the bed is an actual king size bed. Good size room and bath. Nice and clean with lovely soaps, shampoo etc. Pretty old furniture, cd player and small tv.

Overhyped room descriptions

Posted 31-Jul-2014
Pros: It was quiet - not a lot of street noise. Fairly easy to get to, given nightmare traffic and one-way streets Staff was courteous and helpful
Cons: Almost everything, but then the price would double...
Location: Quite a way up the hill from the Market - walkable for the fit, but everybody else should take a taxi Reasonably central to the tourist destinations
OK - it's a big city downtown hotel - the traffic and parking issues aren't things that can be avoided unless you're the US President and/or have more money than God. BUT - be straight about the room. EXCEPTIONAL applied to the cheapest room? I think not, especially one on a lower floor with a view of the next building. This is an older hotel, and tarting the place up with futuristic bathroom fixtures and urban chic public rooms is like putting lipstick on a pig. I live in a city that's a business and tourist destination, so am not unduly surprised at the room or meal prices, or the parking problems, but I still get really annoyed at charges for bottled water in the rooms and outrageous internet charges. Yes, business travelers can write these off, but a guest on the weekend isn't likely to be a business traveler. Public parking right next to the hotel is half the rate of the hotel's overnight guest parking. Since the hotel doesn't accept any more responsibility for guest vehicles than the public garage, why bother? Just unload at the hotel entrance and go park yourself, and save the cost of a meal.

Days Inn Quality For More $$$.

Dark, cramped rooms. Broken blinds. No housekeeping. WIFI is not free. Booking this hotel was a mistake that won't be repeated.

Good location, good price

Posted 26-Jul-2014
The hotel was just a few blocks to the piers and Pike's Market. It is an uphill climb back however. The staff was very friendly and was quick to answer any questions.
