Great stay in Seattle

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Pros: Modern feel and decor. Good sized rooms. Central to theatre and other Seattle sites.
Cons: Lobby/lounge/restaurant area a little on the loud side. Partially due to Seahawks game I imagine.
Great hotel. Nicely appointed. Spent 4 days and loved the rooms. Very well maintained. Nice bar. Good service from all staff.

Weekend In Seattle

Posted 12-Oct-2014
Had never heard of the W Hotel before 10/14, but I will certainly keep it in mind when making future out of town arrangements. Aside from the comfort and other amenities the W offered, hotel staff made me feel welcome and safe. They each introduced themselves; Michael, Alice, etc., when they greeted me and invited me to call on them if I needed service.

Best Sleep Ever!!!

Posted 06-Oct-2014
My Fiancé and I heard about a "night club" located in the W Seattle so we went Saturday night to check it out. The "club" is actually the floor lobby that is situated like an upscale night spot! We enjoyed the comfortable seating, warm fireplace and master DJ! However, it was pretty empty so the vibe wasn't really "club-like". We decided to stay the night so we didn't have to drive home, and I'm very glad we did! The room was reasonably priced for the location and the room was gorgeous! Even better than that, though, the plush blanket and soft but firm "eggshell" bedding had me melting at first lay! And although we could definitely do without the pricey overnight parking ($37 for guests, ouch!), we plan to do this all over again very soon!

Poor bathroom

Posted 29-Sep-2014
Was expecting much more from a 4 star hotel then what I got.

Not impressed

For a 4 star hotel, and the price you pay I don't feel we get rooms nice enough. Not only that but wifi, breakfast, parking (more then 50$ a night) is not included. So at the end your spending even more. The bathroom is very comparable to a holiday inn and I think that's what disappointed me the most.

Nice hotel but lack of free Wifi surprising

Posted 22-Sep-2014
Pros: Location was excellent. It was within walking distance to all the attractions (waterfront, Pike Place, Pioneer Square, sport stadiums).
Cons: Wifi should be complimentary and room rates should be adjusted for bad views.
Location: Convenient location, downtown near sites such as waterfront, Pike Place market, Pioneer Square, sport stadiums.
We spent a night at the W. While the room was nice (with King size bed, large bathroom, comfortable couch) - the view was terrible (we were looking into the parking garage) - and made me question the high room rate. In addition, there was no free Wifi (you had to pay for it) - which is something that is included with hotels with lower rates.

Nice, but not great. Nickle and dime.

Posted 16-Sep-2014
Pros: Nice, helpful staff were always pleasant and very professional.
Cons: Don't charge for local phone calls or wifi and charge a reasonable valet fee.
Location: Lots to do near by. Location is excellent.
Great location, clean rooms. But it's $60 to park there, wi-fi is a charge, local phone calls are a charge. Even water in the room was charged. Basically, what struck me about this hotel is that it's a revamped Holiday Inn manifesting as a $300/night Fairmont hotel. It's nice enough, but you can just tell the quality just isn't there... I don't mind spending $300-400 a night for a great hotel experience, but this just didn't seem anywhere near value for money.

The room was fine but smelled like someone spilled wine all over the carpet, The beds are unbelievably cozy! A little disappointed as the pictures of the hotel look way better then the actual hotel itself.

Totally overhyped.

Rooms were not particular clean, there were strange finger marks. The shower was equivalent to drizzle and didn't make for productive cleaning. Hotel staff on arrival weren't friendly which was unusual gor America. I had to ring reception at 2am due to a racket caused by other guests and we were put on 15th floor by the lifts, I really hope the rest of the hotel was full as otherwise they have perhaps needlessly lost my future custom. Upon checkout I was asked how my stay was, I listed the above and just received a nod. Thoroughly disappointing as I have had positive experiences with the W in London. Such a shame!
