Very convenient location

Posted 12-May-2015
Pros: The history and the ambience. The staff was very friendly and the room was immaculately clean.
Cons: It would be helpful if they had a map of places to eat nearby.
We enjoyed staying at a hotel that is part of Seattle's history. It was pretty far from Key Arena where we were attending a concert but worth the cab ride. We forgot that it was a Sunday night so finding a place to eat dinner other than at the hotel, was difficult. They close the gorgeous upstairs bar on Sunday's and that would have been fun to have a drink there before the concert.

Great Hotel in Pioneer Square

Posted 12-May-2015
Pros: Everything!!!!! Very comfortable, Great atmosphere, Wonderful staff!!!! Easy to get to from Sea-Tac by way of the Central Link, steps from the Pioneer
Cons: One little problem occurred. One of the jets from the whirlpool tub didn't work. They fixed the problem within an hour, and brought wine to compensate
Location: In the Pioneer Square District, easy access to most everything, if by walking or Central Link!!!
Stayed 5 nights for our anniversary vacation. Great hotel, nice staff, excellent bedding, easy walk to nearby attractions and shops. Old hotel with a lot of history and character. Totally recommend!!!

Excellent hotel within walking distance to sights

Posted 09-Apr-2015
Pros: It was a very comfortable hotel with charm and elegance.
Cons: The shower curtains need to be longer so the water doesn't drip out the bottom, wetting the bathroom floors. Also, coffee in the lobby!
Location: Pike Market (a must!), ferris wheel, shopping, city underground tour, space needle, duck tours and EATING!!!
I booked 4 nights for a reunion with friends. The 4 of us shared a room quite comfortably. Hotel had an old-world elegance vibe. Facilities were as expected-- excellent. Gym was moderate-sized but had everything you'd need for a good workout. Staff were very accommodating with recommendations. Valet was spot on (I'd recommend as it would be inconvenient to self park and run back and forth to local garages). The only slightly negative thing about our stay is everyday, we'd have 3 towel sets instead of 4 daily and my key card malfunctioned 2 of the days. The front desk immediately corrected the problems with both situations without hassle. Hotel offered fruit-infused water and apples daily. Location was awesome-- we walked a few blocks to all major attractions (terrain very hilly so be prepared!). We had a wonderful stay!

Great location, walking distance to everything

Posted 29-Mar-2015
Hotel is beautiful, we were welcomed with warm cookies. The hotel did not provide parking, which is the only thing I could say was disappointing, but there was luckily a structure right next door for $20 overnight only, had to be out by 8:00 though.

Excellent stay

Posted 16-Mar-2015
Pros: Location, staff, super comfortable beds, cleanliness, local decor
Location: Pike place and pioneer square are within walking distance, as well as the stadiums. Many restaurants and shops nearby.
Check in and checkout was very smooth, and I was offered a warm chocolate chip cookie, which was delicious. Hotel staff are very welcoming, helpful, and informative. The hotel is very nice, with a lot of local character. I stayed on a Saturday night, and there happened to be free street parking in the evening and on Sunday, which was a plus. The room was very large and clean. Bed was super comfortable. The location is slightly out of the downtown area, so there are a lot of restaurants and shops and things to do nearby, but it did not seem as busy and crowded as the immediate downtown area. It is very near to the stadiums as well. I would absolutely stay here again. I like the local flavor and luxurious vibe of the hotel.
