Nice location.

Showed up to the hotel and the staff was very friendly from the start. Our room wasn't ready but wasn't a problem as we showed up a bit early. Took my number and called us within an hour like they said they would, which I was surprised about. The room was very nice and clean. TV actually functioned well for a hotel TV. The best part was the bed, best hotel bed I have slept on. Would have been nice if they would have put an umbrella in the closet. Only hotel I have stayed at in Seattle that doesn't do that. All in all, great hotel with a great location to everything. Would stay here again and recommend to friends traveling to the area.

Staff was very attentive and professional.

I received a call from the front desk about 1 hour after check in just to check on me and make sure that I had settled in fine. The staff was incredibly attentive and provided awesome customer service.

Quality Family Time

Posted 09-Apr-2015
Pros: Location, cleanliness, customer service, great restaurant, the most comfortable bed I HAVE EVER SLEPT IN!
Cons: With two elevators, I got lost looking for the parking garage, but a very handsome gentleman actually walked us to the correct area.
Location: You are in the very center of everything, walking distance to all Seattle has to offer.
We stayed at the Motif one night only, but I am very impressed. And I'm sure I will find some sort of excuse to stay again. The staff is highly trained in customer service, the entire place is spotless, great restaurant, couldn't be more pleased. Thanks, Motif, I hope to be back soon.

Pros: Location & staff.
Cons: Better menu. Better wine list, adding Riesling & Moscato.
Location: It was close to Nordies & Butch Blum. Avenues of great shopping!
Great experience with our arrival to our departure. The staff was incredible & available to answer questions, carry bags or whatever was needed to make our experience comfortable.

Affordable, Great Downtown Location

Posted 06-Apr-2015
Pros: Young, friendly, and enthusiastic staff. Clean, cozy beds. Amazing view. Wonderful location. Very affordable.
Cons: Little details - running out of splenda/stevia, valet parking, coffee pot or microwave.
Location: It doesn't get better than this! Right at the center of the downtown Seattle retail/shopping core. Sweet!
Overall, our stay was pleasant. Our room was clean, had a wonderful view, and the staff, while young and familiar, was enthusiastic and responsive. A few things worth noting: 1. Our room had a mini fridge and a keurig, but no microwave or coffee pot - thus no hot water. Perhaps you can somehow get just hot water from a keurig, but I'm not familiar with them. I had brought morning tea and via coffee but unfortunately was limited to the two regular coffee pods and one earl grey. I really missed being able to quickly make a relaxing beverage in my room. 2. No valet parking. When I pulled up at 5pm after a day of driving, no valet parking was disappointing and, given the location, surprising. To top it off, the hotel's garage was full so while the hotel offered to take my luggage I was left in downtown Seattle to find parking on my own during 5pm traffic with a huge convention two blocks away. I cannot emphasis enough how annoying and stressful this was. We spent the weekend using room service as it was easier than trying to manage crowds. The food was yummy, generous portions overall, and quick to arrive. If you are looking for a four or five star luxury retreat from a day spent in the city - this is not it. We heard fairly louds noise from convention attendees in the room next to ours. Annoying. However, if you are looking for a more casual, three or four star downtown hotel the Motif is great. Again, it is very affordable and definitely a good value.

Perfect Seattle Vibe

Posted 06-Apr-2015
Stayed Easter weekend and had a wonderful time. The hotel had an Easter egg hunt with prizes ranging from chocolates to $25 off at the hotel restaurant which gives you a sense of the playful atmosphere. But it's not over the top or forced. Seattle's music legacy and progressive attitude are part of this hotel-you really feel like you're in a Seattle hotel not a cookie cutter corporate place. Great music always playing at the restaurant/lounge which we enjoyed for a number of breakfasts and a couple of dinners. Professional and friendly staff there and throughout the hotel. We used the hotel's flat rate car service to and from the hotel. Nice drivers both times. Might try light rail next time-the station is a 3 minute walk away. We will definitely stay again and recommend this hotel.
