“Hidden Gem”
We chose the Mediterranean Inn for the 2nd leg of our short stay in Seattle as it was ideally situated for the Key Arena and we had a concert planned. We arrived early but wereable to put our luggage into store enabling us to explore unhampered. When we checked in we were upgraded to a larger room on the 2nd floor. It was huge with a kitchenette and sofa area. The complimentary popcorn was microwaved after the concert. The room was extremely quiet. The Hotel itself does not have a bar or eating facilities, but don't let that put you off as it has a Starbucks below and is surrounded by a wide variety of restaurants and bars. We ate in Racha Noodles, a local Thai which was excellent. There is also a very good local grocery store. The rooftop of the Hotel is worth a visit as you have wonderful views of the Space Needle and harbour. Checkout was easy, I had the free use of the internet and was able to check-in for the airport and print off my boarding pass. Again we were able store our luggage to come back to and they also pre-ordered us a taxi for our return to the airport. Overall the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and I would certainly consider staying here again as it represented very good value for money.
“A nice little find”
i stayed at the Seattle Sheraton for a few days earlier on this trip, getting a good deal with Expedia. Unhappily that wasn't available on the retrun leg of the trip when i came back to Seattle, so i stayed at the Mediterranean. It's not in the same class, but the price, it was an excellent choice. Staff very helpful and effecient and not too far from all the downtown spots.
“Quiet but close to the city”
Immaculate hotel. Comfy bed, clean bathroom and kitchen facility. Fridge and microwave in room. Safeway supermarket across the road.
“Great Seattle Resting Stop”
Great Hotel, would recomend to anyone!
“Great Place to Stay”
Excellent quality hotel in a nice, safer than average area. It is very near the Space Needle and Monorail, which made it easy to go back up the tower for the evening visit at sunset. Buses run from in front of the hotel to Downtown. The room is spacious with a nice kitchenette area. Safeway is next door. The Rooftop Terrace is lovely to sit and look at stunning views of the Needle, city and Puget Sound. Overall very good value when you consider location and room quality. I'd go back at the drop of a hat!
“kitchenette??!”
picked this hotel as needed self catering as on holiday with our 16 month old baby. The kitchenette was very poorly stocked although we could get things like bottle opener, plates etc from reception if requested - problem was, there was nothing in the room telling us to do this! Also, there was no table and chairs, only a computer desk, which meant we weren't able to feed him in the room and ended up eating out for all meals. However, the room and hotel was very nice and ideal for a short stay in Seattle. It was perfectly placed for all the attractions, the Space Needle and surrounding things including monorail to main shopping area were only a 5 minute walk away. PS charging for a cot is very cheeky!
“A good pick”
Scores on location( close to Space Needle and EMP) , nice roof terrace, free bike hire , good buses to Downtown and helpful staff. Didn't do breakfast - just a Starbuck's cafe - but plenty breakfast options nearby and a Safeway. Several good dining options within a couple of blocks. Our initial room was noisy from late night revellers and we moved to a quieter room at the back on request. Would use again
“Cheap and clean”
The Mediterranean Inn is a cheap Seattle Hotel. About 25 minutes walk to Pike Place Market. Mediterranean Inn Hotel has a Safeway across the road, which is useful. The kitchenettes only have microwaves so not really usable for cooking. There is parking available for $15 a day and it's easy to park overnight on the street from 6pm to 8am for free. Rooms are a little tired but clean and comfortable, there is no mini bar. The gym has a couple of cardio machines and a weights machine. Good views of Seattle from the roof terrace. Overall a good cheap Seattle hotel, good as a base.
“Good place to stay in Seattle”
Hotel well situated - close to Space Needle and Belltown. 2o minute walk from downtown or 2 minutes by monorail. Hotel comfortable, lovely roof terrace to watch the sunset. Fully stocked Safeway just round the corner. Lots of good eating places and bars within 15 minute walk.
“would go back.”
Ideal location to the Space Needle and the Mono Rail to the shopping district In Seattle.Very helpful staff would highly reccomend this Hotel.
