High cost, low return

Posted 28-Jul-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Rates and\or included services
Even with on-line booking discount paid a lot for 2 nights and yet no breakfast, no water and fees for local calls. Rooms nice but dated. Good location. Would pursue other hotel options next time.

5 Star

Posted 24-Jul-2014
Pros: The Staff was very friendly, the room was nice (I had an Executive Suite), and the Hotel itself is very appealing.
Location: Lots of shopping nearby
The Olympic was 5 Star all the way. Dinner in the Georgian Room was a little stuffy, but aside from that, the Hotel was all that I expected. The Pool is a little small, but it was never crowded.

Great Location

Posted 23-Jul-2014
Pros: Restaurants
Cons: Friendlier Staff and new carpets would help a lot.
Location: Great location for entertainment. Aquarium, Space Needle, Museums, Taste of Seattle, Tours of City, all things generally found in large cities.
The Fairmont Olympic is a very lovely hotel that needs some renovation. (carpet throughout) The Georgian Room Restaurant in the hotel is excellent! Staff, were seemingly bored. Nothing to speak of happening in the Lobby. We had stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Chicago two weeks prior, and would have given them a 6 rather than a 5 (highest rating) if that were possible....therefore, I think expectations were high for the Fairmont.

Luxury hotel

Posted 21-Jul-2014
The Fairmont Olympia hotel in Seattle fits all the criteria for a luxury hotel. From service to rooms and amenities, you will feel pampered. Shuckers and the Georgian Terrace are great restaurants within the hotel. It is within walking distance to Pikes Market and the Waterfront.

Beautiful hotel downtown where we wanted to be.

Posted 16-Jul-2014
Pros: It felt like family. It didn't seem they were playing. Service is the Fairmont Olympic. You get service. We were never disappointed.
Cons: The hotel did what we needed in every way.
Location: We walked to the museum of art. We walked to the Seattle dock area, and Pikes Market. We had a great time in Seattle.
On our first visit to Seattle we had numerous things to see and do. I wanted a base to return to each night that was secure and could provide food, links, parking, and help in many ways. The hotel works and we recommend it highly.

Too costly

Posted 10-Jul-2014
For the price we paid I would have expected the air conditioner to actually cool the room. The beds slept terrible. No continental breakfast or free wifi for a basic room that cost $320/ night. Very disappointed and won't stay here again.

My husband's birthday weekend

Posted 07-Jul-2014
Pros: The location, the staff, the room and the amenities in the room.
Cons: Double paned glass windows but it's not that important
Location: Pike's market, shopping, Lake-Union district, museums, galleries, restaurants
This was our first trip to Seattle. The hotel was in a perfect location to walk or trolly to major sites. The staff were professional, helpful and very friendly. The room was what you would expect at a Fairmont; classic furnishings, and rich, warm hues, making it hard to leave our room. The dining options were great including the Starbuck's-like take-out restaurant, to the Georgian dining room. We did not have a chance to try Shuckers.

Beautiful Hotel with great location

Posted 04-Jul-2014
Cons: Please improve the air condition. The car parking charges are outrageous, so I chose to take the train in from the airport.
Location: Perfect location, could walk down to the great restaurants on the water or the great shopping near by. Train station is only a block away, so easy!
Wonderful hotel, loved everything about it except the air conditioning , could not get it cool enough. Love the location , can't be beat.

Stellar graduation gathering

Posted 04-Jul-2014
Pros: Perfect location, fabulous common areas for socializing, heavenly pool area, lovely peaceful room.
Cons: Not a thing!
Loved everything about this hotel! I really wanted a special place to gather with family and celebrate my daughter's college graduation, and we couldn't have chosen a better place. From cocktails in the elegant lobby to hours spent decompressing in the pool, hot tub and sauna, everything exceeded our expectations. Was especially impressed with the gracious and accommodating service by all of the staff (a special shout out to Peggy in the lounge who spoiled us two nights in a row)
