Disappointing considering this is a 5-star hotel

Posted 01-May-2015
Pros: Door greeters were very friendly. Bath tub was nice.
Cons: Customer service. (promised items didn't show up)
Location: Aquarium, Library, Pike Market, Science Center
Requested a crib in the special notes and also spoke with the front desk person at the lobby in regards to getting a crib. He promised it'll be brought up later in the day. We went out for the day and when we got back late at night it wasn't there. Quite disappointing considering this is a five star hotel.

Elegantly older but not seedy

Posted 30-Apr-2015
Pros: Good staff. Good location. Great attention to any issues that were raised.
Cons: Internet service could be improved. Paid for "upgraded service" but had great variability in the signal strength.
Location: Good access to many restaurants, shopping and sights.
In town for a conference. Decided to stay here when the number of reserved rooms for the conference were inadequate. Professional staff. Easy walking distance to things/events. Quiet.

Always a beautiful stay

Posted 27-Apr-2015
Pros: Very comfortable, clean and beautiful. The cars service offered by the hotel is unbeatable. They will drive anywhere within a mile of the hotel.
Location: This hotel is within walking distance to Pike's Market as well as all of the activities on the Puget. But, the hotel provides cars.
The rooms and staff are amazing! Everyone is there to be sure you receive the excellent service that you deserve! Be sure to stop in the lounge for one of Michael's delicious Martinis and Peggae's wonderful smiling service.

Fairmont downtown Seattle

Pros: it's an old beatifully maintained hotel smack dab in the heart of Seattle.
Location: Easy walking to high and lower end stores, to the Pike Place Market, and on and on.
Lovely hotel -- lobby is spectacular, Georgian room the best. Our suite room was absolutely lovely, comfortable - disappointed I was only staying one night!

Very helpful staff, spacious bright room.

Pros: Great staff, great room.
Stayed here for the first time since we had our wedding reception here 20+ years ago. I mentioned this to the staff ahead of time and received prompt emails back from several employees, all of whom did their best to make our recent stay very special. Thank you, all!

A little courtesy shy of excellence

Hotel is well-appointed and luxurious as expected. But at this level - and in an Executive Suite - a hotel should provide a few little extras. And the Fairmont does not. Specifically, complimentary Internet access and bottled water would be reasonable expectations. But the Fairmont charges $15/day for Internet and $8 for a bottle of water!!
