The executive seems to suffer from a dichotomy in its staff. The good ones are really very decent. Nice engaging people. The bad ones drag it down I was checked in by a gentleman who seem to take it as a front that I had booked only within the prior 24 hours and I was asking for an early check-in. I explained that I was staying because of some ongoing issues with my apartment.
A few weeks back, we suffered some damaged pipes which caused water to spray from below warping, among other things, hardwood floors in nine different units. I’m in the middle of chemotherapy and the smell makes me sick and it’s not just the smell in our unit. It’s all along. You can smell it coming through the vents. Frankly, I just don’t want to add facility problems to my list of things that are not going well for me. I’ve been staying at a hotel while the management conducts necessary repairs. While I’d love to believe we’re finished, we probably aren’t and I will likely have to stay three or four more nights. We’ll see.
When I arrived I asked the front desk for an early check in, whatever room was available. If that meant I’d pay an early check-in fee, whatever no problem, or if I would have to pay for a better type of room, no problem.
The gentleman checking me in seemed as though he was taking my request as some sort of special treatment demand. It was not. I would love to think the matter with my apartment is concluded, but returning home is fairly obvious that this we continuing
