My first impression when I walked in the front door was that the hotel was a bit shop-worn. Then I saw the popcorn and coffee available in a small area to the right of the entrance and I thought 'what a nice touch.' The young lady who checked me in made a point of telling me the coffee was available, (I think 24/7...not positive.) My room was exceptionally clean. King-sized bed with quality bedding, a flat screen TV and a well-stocked bathroom really pleased me. Then I looked for the advertised 'microwave and refrigerator'...couldn't find it. I was about to call the desk, when I saw a rectangular door beneath the TV. This is where the microwave and refrigerator are located. I wasn't sure if there was a restaurant attached to the hotel (Is this advertised?) so I carried my own food, which I heated in the microwave.
The morning clerk brought my rating of hotel staff down from a 5 to a 4. He didn't seem particularly happy to be there at 4 A.M. (neither was I.) No good morning...just 'was there a checkout receipt under my door?' I asked him about early checkout breakfast. He pointed to some bags on a table. (Bagel, butter and jelly) Then I asked about transportation to the airport. He pointed toward the door and said, "You can put your bag in the van." So...nothing really negative, except his overall demeanor. So, young lady who checked me in...5, guy in the morning...3.
We arrived at the hotel exhausted and within 45 seconds were on our way to our room. The front desk has the check-in/checkout process streamlined to the point where if you blink you'll miss it. The room was clean and comfy. The bed was soft enough for even me (boo hard mattresses!) and they gave you four pillows (your choice of firm or soft)! There was also a surprise free breakfast that we didn't know about downstairs in the morning. Make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, bagels etc. (Don't you love how none of us gives a crap how we look in a hotel breakfast room). Checkout was super fast, we just handed over our room keys and the receipt was emailed to us. The downsides if you're being nitpicky: the TV was blurry and the shower faucet was a little hard to figure out.

We were in town for a few days. This hotel was surprisingly well done with modern features, well thought out rooms with all the convienences you would need and the staff was very friendly. My only complaint and it is minor, is that the room doors are heavy and self close so no matter how you try they slam. The people next to us were in and out of their room many many times, slamming the door, waking us up too early. After they left we wet able to get a few more Zzzzz. A fun feature if the hotel was the fire pit. We would stay here again, no question.

My wife was running in the Steamtown Marathon and we chose this location because of price, proximity to Scranton, PA and pool/spa tub. We were not disappointed! The room was clean and updated. The mini kitchen had everything we needed. The outside area with the firepit was fantastic! We would love to find some of the chairs they had outside and purchase them because they were so comfy. All in all we were very pleased. We wished we lived closer so we could go skiing during the winter at Montage Moutain which was right up the road

Comfort Suites in Moosic, PA is a very clean and updated hotel that is right off of Rt.81. The front desk was very friendly and accomidating. The breakfast buffet in the morning was an added bonus. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Suites.
We stayed for 4 nights during the Peach Festival. Our king room on the 6th floor was great. Not a single complaint. Clean, spacious and comfortable. I can't comment on room service or pool/fitness as we didn't use them.
The hotel bar is very reasonably priced for drinks and there is an ok pub and a few restaurants nearby. The hotel is located in downtown Scranton near a mall and shops.
Wifi was included and parking was well-priced (we are from a large city and are used to paying through the nose to park).
The staff were pleasant, welcoming and well-mannered.
If you have to stay in Scranton this is the place for you.
