“Reasonable Hotel”
The hotel is fine for what it is, not fancy yet servicable and comfortable, but has all the amenities you need. The bathroom is outdated, but the room was clean. Room service from the onsite restaurant is nice and you can walk to a few chain type places for food, coffe and supplies (although the highway is busy). Rooms facing the highway are very noisy.
“Nice place to stay”
Stayed at this hotel for a college weekend. Hotel was clean and well maintained. Excercise room was clean and in good repair with good equipment. The continental breakfast was ok. The room was comfortable, functional and not loud despite closeness to highway. Definately would stay again. The on site spa was a very nice touch.
“Great place to stay for a good price”
The hotel was within 15 min from the event that we were attending. it was very clean and very kind people that work there. The serves was great and the over all experience was wonderful
“Nichols Village”
The hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. The staff were pleasant.
“Recommend with few reservations - needs updating”
I stay at Nichols Village whenever I travel to PA and this is the first year I was a little disappointed. It needs better upkeep and some serious upgrading. Blame it on the economy, is what I thought. I was not as impressed with the room as in previous years. Even the restaurant Bazil was only okay. However, hotel and restaurant staff were always pleasant and accomodating in both. No problem with the people part. It was the lodging, linens, furnishings that were only "okay." Although disappointed on the first part of my stay, on the second part received a quieter and cozier room facing a waterfall...lovely. Still, it is not as luxe as it was in previous years. I hope it improves (with the economy) as I enjoy the area.
“A Great Stay”
My fiance and I are actually Clarks Summit locals but decided to stay here for the first time as little get-away. The hotel room was clean, with basic ammentities (iron, blow dryer, soap, shampoo, etc), an indoor pool, and a satisfying continental breakfast.
“I'd do it again, everytime!”
We were so impressed by this hotel! The only thing that didn't impress us was the spa! We got manicures there and the next day they were pealing off.. not to mention the lady that did mine didn't even know how to paint nails, missing half of my nail! Grrr! Also, the hot tub apparently isn't opened to everyone staying at the hotel, only the presidential building has the hot tub. We were very disappointed in that because from looking at the website it was one of the things we were most looking forward to, and on the website it does not say presidential only. Other than those things it was an amazing hotel! The free breakfast every morning was great! The staff was beautifully helpful and friendly! Our rooms were clean and the beds were VERY comfortable. It was everything we needed to make our vacation just a tad bit more relaxing, and so much more! Don't think twice about staying here.. just do it! Plus, with Expedias great prices.. you can't beat it!
“Very impressed”
Nichols Village is a small, looks like recently renovated hotel with everything you need. Breakfast (hot and cold), which was included in the price, was a wonderful addition. Coffee was great. Heated pool was a plus, but a bit too chily for a toddler - we only stayed for about 10 min. Would greatly recommend.
“Very Clean and Pleasant”
This seems like a family owned hotel where they take great pride in providing clean accommodations and great service. Very comfortable bed. Basic continental breakfast with hot eggs and waffles.
“Many positives and only one negative”
The service was good, without being intrusive. For the most part, the other guests were really quiet. All major roadways are easily accessible. The only major drawback is that the railroad runs about 100 yards behind the hotel, meaning it's fairly loud when a train rumbles by. However, it's not enough to be a deal-breaker and the place does enough things right that I can overlook being woken up twice a night by the train.
