“Recommend”

I found the hotel staff to be friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable, and rooms clean. I didn't hear any noise from the rooms around me, and only minor noise from the hall. The only negative I have to say about this hotel is the breakfast left much to be desired. It filled the void. I recommend this hotel.

“Fantastic!”

My wife and I were visiting family near Wilkes-Barre for Thanksgiving with our infant son and could not have been happier with our stay. Everything from the staff to the quality of our room to the complimentary breakfast and wi-fi was excellent. We will definitely stay here again when visiting my sister and her family in the area.

“Nice hotel”

Nice hotel. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again if the price is right. First time I stayed at this hotel in this area due to price promotion. I go to W-B several times a year, but this hotel at times tends to be on the high side so I have stayed elsewhere in the area.

“Nicely Placed”

A relatively new hotel in the Wilkes-Barre area, it's nicely placed near the Wachovi... er, I mean Mohegan Sun Arena, convienient to Wyoming Valley Mall, and easy access to Interstate 81. The hotel is clean and quite well kept, and for a weekend where there was a field hockey tournament in town and several colleges returning, the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. A nice bonus is Hampton's return to offering breakfast rather than just the 'to go' bags, which though tasty, were lacking. The breakfast area was clean and well kept, and best of all the staff kept it well stocked, before could ask for a bin to be refilled someone was already taking care of it. The pool was clean and plenty of towels too. And best of all, the unheard of, complimentary in room internet access... a nice perk for Hampton. Shame it's not carried throughout the Hilton chain.

“Nice Place”

This hotel was clean. The pool was clean. The breakfast was great!!! The room was clean. No complaints!!! Great place to stay and a great view from the front of hotel.

Area recommendations

The local restaurants were great . You have plenty to pick from. Mohegan arena and casino were close by. The tree house in Scranton was fun. Camelbeach was great. Lots of stuff to do.

Getting there

Use the address of the Walmart to get to hotel or else your Navi will never find it!!! Walmart is right on the same street as hotel. Your Navi wont find it cause this hotel is brand new!!!

“Two Thumbs Up”

Excellent hotel service, price value and room was beyond expectation. Luv'd the bathroom!! We booked the king-size room for an overnight stay and used the lobby area to sit and chit-chat with friends. Coffee/tea is always available in the lobby area and as an added touch to travelers yummy warm cookies are provided (hard to resist) in the evening. Breakfast was great, lots of choices. A good start to our day. The hotel is just off the main highway for a quick exit and a short distance from the shopping area so it is nice and quiet. Highly recommend this hotel. Bonus - lots of restaurants and shopping in close proximity. A big thank you to the Hampton Suites Wilkesbarre staff and Expedia for their businesses.

“It was a nice stay and the staff was wonderful. The shuttle wasn't available to the arena. Bummer”

I have two suggestions for the hotel and that is to put in there on bar/pub and that they should put refrig/microv. combinations in the Queen rooms.

“Clean room, but no bathtub...:(”

This was a lovely hotel. Our room was nice and clean, I loved the bedding and room amenities. Our only disappointment was not having a bathtub. We like a luxurious bath as part of our get away. The hot tub was nice, however!
