Had a lovely night staying over at the Hotel on my friends wedding day.
Food was very nice, we had a family room, room clean, comfortable and spacious with an extra bed for our 5 yr old. Great location to explore Inverness!
We were in the UK for 3 1/2 weeks and stayed in 6 different hotels and this was definitely the best!
After a few "misses" during our Scotland tour, we decided to check in a day early and spend two nights here rather than the planned one night. BEST decision we made and best two days of our 11 day trip. Roger and his staff have thought of every little detail. The house itself is spectacular, and having stayed at many first class resorts, we have never been in a nicer suite. The surrounding area offers scenery and activities that we enjoyed far more than our time on Skye. We will be back, but for more than just two nights!
Location good but don't expect much in Achnasheen itself. Generally a quiet hotel with only 12 rooms. Initially tried to give us a double despite having booked a twin room but overall room was as expected. Decor dated and not much power in shower. Heating on far too much throughout hotel for the September temperature. We slept with windows open after turning radiators off. Breakfast good and decent stocked but small bar. Ate once there in evening but quite expensive. Enjoyed the September sun on arrival and able to have a few beers out on the picnic table outside. Great store in Kinlochewe lent us some boots for the day after one of our party forgot his ! Good base for Torridon mountains (30 mins away) and we then went up to An Teallach on way to Ullapool

"Outstanding cuisine, homely place with great views"
Stay here to get away from it all in the glens. This is a small, welcoming homely former hunting lodge with traditional bedrooms and furnishings which make you feel you could only be in Scotland. But it's the highly rated dining (overlooking Loch Lochy) that make this a great place to stop over. Michelin-recommended with prices to match but a gastronomic experience to remember.
Set in a great location with unbelievable views. Hotel was clean apart from the smell coming from the laundry room, rooms were a good size and it was very quiet at night time. Great for a wedding reception.
